Vehicle Detail

Up for bids is my recently completed 1929 Chevrolet hot rod. This little car was built from what was left of 29 Cherolet sedan. Shortened and channeled over a kustom built frame. The body has been channeled about 7" and reinforced with 1" square tubing throughout. The frame has an 6" step in the rear and a 4" step in front of the cowl. The front half of the frame is built out of 2" x 4" rectangle tubing and the rear half is Model A boxed with 3/16" plate. The front suspension is suicide style with a '41 Ford front axle and a split wishbone setup. The axle has been fitted with new wheel bearings, seals, wheel cylinders, transverse leaf spring, shackles, bushings, brake lines and brake shoes. The rear diff is a GM 10 bolt with factory drum brakes and transverse Model A leaf spring. Steering is via a reversed Corvair gear box and homemade steering column topped with a race car style quick disconnect and a vintage 60's metal flake steering wheel. The brake master cylinder is a brand new Speedway unit mounted under the cowl with an adjustable porportioning valve hidden below the steering gear. Power comes from a 0.010 over 454 Chevrolet with a Lunati cam, aluminum intake, 4bbl Edelbrock 650 cfm carb, and HEI ignition. The transmission is a 700R4 and is shifted via an aluminum stock car style shift handle with 1/4" rod ends and an aluminum shaft. Cooling chores are handled by an electric water pump plumbed to a 4 core fullsize Chevy truck radiator located in the rear of the car with 2, 13" electric fans wired through relays and a thermostatic switch in the engine. This little car has no thermostat and runs at 180 all day in 95 degree heat. The charging sytem consists of a 60 amp GM alternator mounted to the transmission cross member and turned by the driveshaft. The alternator begins charging at approximately 15 mph and works well. Inside is a kustom dash with headlight switch, starter switch and a new Stewart Warner mechanical temp gauge as well as a new Stewart Warner charging gauge. Headlights are early Chevrolet that have been converted to accept halogen bulbs and the rear taillight is from a 1959 Oldsmobile. The windshield frame is a cast aluminum two piece frame that has been extensively modified to fit the Chevrolet cowl, and filled with green plexiglass to match the metalflake steering wheel. This car will be sold with a bill of sale only. Any questions feel free to call my cell @ 720-987-5503 and ask for Joe. The reserve is very reasonable. Thanks for looking!!
