Vehicle Detail
This Lincoln was my recently deceased father-in-laws car. He bought the vehicle new in 2001 and was its sole driver. He took immaculate care of his cars, and this car is no exception. This Lincoln has been garaged for 99% of its entire existence. The exterior looks brand new except for a 'plant/bush' scratch (pictured) on the plastic part of the bumper. Otherwise, there's not a dent, ding or bit of paint missing anywhere on the body NOTE: In an effort to be 100% honest, I just stopped the first auction for this Lincoln and relisted-- I'M BEING EXTREMELY PICKY HERE, BUT... When I was cleaning the leather seats, I noticed the beginning of about a 5" seam split on the driver's seat back. I've been driving this Town Car for a month and had never noticed it before-- the pressure of my wiping opened it up-- NOT FULLY, just a little-- enough to make me think it might need professional attention. I truly don't believe anyone would have noticed it-- BUT I DID, and that's enough reason to mention it. I've circled the area in 2 pictures for the sake of full disclosure. I PLAN ON HAVING THIS REPAIRED-- or -- OFFERING THE BUYER $200 TO HAVE IT RE-STITCHED/REPAIRED ON HIS OR HER TIME. I've attached a picture of this blemish which is THE ONLY DETRACTION to note on the inside, other than some normal seat crinkling (mostly on the driver's seat, which you can see in the picture--the others look all but new). The rest of the inside is as perfect as you'll find-- no tears, rips or worn spots. The leather looks almost new; the dashboard is pristine; the carpet has been covered with floor mats. The engine has been well-maintained; it and the transmission run/change as smoothly as the day they were new. All power aspects (seats, window, truck & gas openers, defrosters, etc) work perfectly. Simply, EVERYTHING works as it should. Tires have approx 7,000 miles on them and feel perfectly balanced. The heat and A/C work as expected. As mentioned, this Lincoln only has 44,500 ACTUAL miles. It was mainly driven in an around town with a few road trips thrown in. I'd prefer to deal locally-- ie, within 150 miles of Raleigh, NC. But if you want to fly in from Timbuktu & pick up this Town Car, that'd be fine, too! Referencing Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book and the NADA Value book, this Lincoln lists from $4100 at the bottom of the "good" category (they state 85% of used cars are in this category) to $7400 in "excellent" condition (3% of cars fit in this category). Though I personally think it would fall in the top 3%, let me understate how nice this car is and say it's TOP 5%. I have priced it thusly, but am willing to consider reasonable offers. Thanks for looking; email me if you have any questions!
