Note to bidders: Please folks, Don't let little Jimmy or Suzie Q play with your eBay account! We're relisting this nice Blazer after the winning bidder failed to come through. Here's the listing as it appeared a two weeks ago: 1987 Chevrolet K-5 Silverado Blazer 4x4 VIN: 1GNEV18K2HF139162 I’m often asked where we find these clean, unique vehicles. One of my best friends cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W. Halls and the back streets of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in north Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away… He’ll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving down the road with a turn signal on too long and he positively twitches with glee after a vehicle with metal bumpers passes by. If you’re in the market for a great driving vintage SUV please give this almost bone-stock Silverado Blazer your kind attention. You’re also welcome to stop by our Kenmore, WA location and drive the rig before bidding, contact us with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the eBay listing. My name is Mark Thompson and I can be reached directly at 206/914-1173. CONDITION: The photos really tell the Blazer’s story. Our AutoCheck history report shows its been here in snow-free western Washington for at least the past sixteen years. There is no history of any accidents, body or storm damage, insurance salvage, theft, repossession or any other nasty negatives to report here to you. In fact, this rig fully qualifies for AutoCheck’s Buyback Protection program and we’ll be happy to furnish a copy to the winning bidder if requested at the time of purchase. We take great pride in the vehicles we sell and feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here’s a list of the good and also things possibly needing attention: The four wheel drive system seems to work just as it should. With a push of a floor lever the drive train goes to full 4x4 mode, so most of the time you’ll be in 2WD and not wearing out the front drive parts during highway use. The only real body flaws to point to in the photos are a few body nicks and dings and some UV-induced clear coat scaling on the removable rear top. The engine compartment is original as pictured. Climb over, under and throughout - I know you’ll come up smiling! Rust? Well, this classic SUV hates rust and you’d be hard pressed to find anything to worry about here! Because we rarely get any snow in western Washington state, our winter roads are rarely ever salted. One turn of the key and the strong 5.7 liter V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal - even when cold. The oil pressure gauge literally pins at the top scale, so it doesn’t read accurately. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should, with NO slippage. There’s factory cruise control, air conditioning (needs charging), power windows (neither the driver’s side or the rear window switch seem to work), good power steering and good brakes. The fog lamps pictured aren’t wired up, but the switch and related parts are in the glove compartment. All four stock wheels are wrapped with top line R15LT BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A radials with at least 65-75% remaining tread. Please take another look at the interior shots. The seat upholstery front and back is great on all the fabric panels. New carpets were installed up front just recently. There are NO cracks in the dash cover. The original headliner and sun visors are about as nice as you’ll find (that’s saying a lot – sagging headliner material is a very common problem on Chevy’s from the 1980’s)! Both door panels have stood the test of time and are in nice condition, too. You’ll be quite impressed with the dash gauges. They still look as clear and bright as the day this rig left the plant almost 25 years ago! The AM-FM radio stereo is just filling space, so I’d plan on installing a nicer model after getting the Blazer to its new home. Please contact me with any questions or to make an offer before the auction ends. My direct phone number is 206/914-1173 and my name is Mark Thompson. You’re welcome and encouraged to stop by to inspect, drive and make an offer. If you’re thinking of bidding on a comparable Chevy Suburban or Ford Bronco of similar vintage, you really owe it to yourself to look this one over first! Please Note: WE will NEVER, EVER “shill” or falsely "bump-up" an auction (a violation of eBay rules and also Federal Law). Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, we require that new eBay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call or email before placing a bid. If we don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. A Few Additional Terms and Conditions: Please check the photos over closely and call with any questions BEFORE you place a bid! You’re encouraged to inspect the vehicle at our premises on weekdays, so send your representative early to be sure you don't miss this one. DEALERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO BID AS WELL! A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s end. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven days unless prior arrangements have been made with us. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold, inspect or then come test-drive the vehicle later (You’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends). If you decide to have the Blazer shipped home, there are numerous vehicle transport companies to choose from. We ship vehicles regularly and have several dependable companies we've great service from. Alternatively, I'd suggest that you get a transport bid from www.U-ship.com. Transporters will bid delivery of the vehicle and you'll be able to choose who you want to use. The zip code for pick-up would be 98032 (Kent, WA) to get an instant on-line quote from either source. As always, the shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER. Make sure you inquire with them about insurance coverage on the vehicles they transport. The Blazer can be stored free of charge at our location for up to seven days after full payment has been made. After that, I charge $15 per day storage. The Buyer will be responsible for the licensing requirements in their state of residence. If you live here in Washington State we’ll need to collect the sales tax, title preparation, transfer and registration fees (this means if it’s leaving Washington, you won’t be paying any sales tax to us). Because the Chevy is advertised and for sale locally, we reserve the right to cancel this auction early if it’s no longer available for sale online. The State of Washington shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes. Venue shall be exclusively in King County. The final contract signed between both buyer and seller shall be binding. The final signed contract and terms thereof shall govern the sale. All disputes arising out of or relating to this auction, any negotiations, the signed agreement, or to the breach, enforcement or interpretation thereof, shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Washington, in accordance with the terms contained in the final sale agreement and under the laws of the State of Washington. Whew! Don’t you just love legalese?
