According to the Factory Honda book HONDA Motorcycle Identification Guide 1959-1998 these now highly collectible bikes began production 8/26/1969 and begin with Frame : CT70 - 100001~ This is bike number 200 ! I dont think you will find a much nicer earlier bike on the planet! This is the pinicle of my collection of low mileage mini Trail 70's that I have collected over the years. I am parting with those that I do not ride and of course this is one of them. These silver tag bikes also known as pre production bikes had unique features. This has the unique original "torpedo" shaped exhaust in good condition, original seat, original motor, non riveted silver vinyl ID tag, bolt on tool kit holder, two tone black and stainless horn and pre production carburetor. The seat pan is in excellent shape with such little use and the seat cover looks to be original. The chain guard looks to be an OEM replacement part and looks perfect. The pictures show the bike in close detail. I will point out the flaws to look for in the pictures. I want you to see the detail since most cannot come over to look at it which I would always encourage. Small gouge,notch, on top of the headlight housing, worn spot on neck of frame and headlight housing from cable rub, slight battery splatter on left side left some spots that could be touched up. I purchased it years ago with a statement that it runs perfect and does not smoke and all lights work. I kick it over to splash the oil in the engine compartment but have never filled it with gas because it has always been inside of my home. Not the garage either! This is a very honest bike. The plastic gas tanks used in this year are perfect because rust and impurities entering the carb is not an issue. This is as nice as any I have seen and hope it will go to a good home.
