Up for sale is a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit pickup. The truck has the 1.6L 4 cylinder gas engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. Truck only has 80,016 original miles. Overall good shape especially for its age. Has very little rust at all. Body is straight but has some scratches from normal use. I bought this truck from an older man two years ago and have been driving it to college and work every day since. It always starts right up with no smoke at all and runs like a champ. I am selling it because I just bought a newer truck and dont really need it anymore. While the truck is in good condition it has a few defects: The dash and driver seat are cracked from years of sitting in the sun and the steering column wobbles about half an inch due to a bearing missing at the end of the tube. It was this way when I bought it and does not affect the tuck at all. I put some money into maintenence on the truck last winter. The following are new: front CV shafts, ront struts and strut mounts, spark plugs, distributor rotor and shifter assembly in the cab. The truck has aluminum wheels that are in good shape but will be in need of new 13 inch tires soon. If you have any questions please contact me. Thank you.
