Vehicle Detail
Ford designed their twin turbo to gain in fuel economy. Well, tuners have found a way to increase this power. This car was used by a specialty shop to come up with a package that would take advantage of having two, barely used turbos under the hood. An all new intake, turbo tubes, fuel injectors were installed. The computer was then custom tuned to make the best use out of the upgrades and dyno numbers reflect an astounding 470 horsepower out of a V6 engine. Finally, to get this beast of a car out of the hole, the rear gears were changed to a 3:73 ratio. At the track, this car turned a whopping 4.8 0-60 MPH time. That’s faster than most Mustangs, Camaros and nearing Corvette territory all in a 4,500 all wheel drive luxury car. Oh, and by the way, the car still gets 27 miles per gallon on the highway, a gain of 105 horsepower with a loss of only 1 mile per gallon on the highway. Ford really needs to wake up on these engines and unleash the beasts they have, but until then, this car is one of a kind. This car has the factor Sport Package which provides a slightly tighter suspension and less body roll. This car is a true sleeper. It looks stock from the outside, but stand on the gas and hear the turbo gates whoosh and the car launches forward, chirps all four tires on the 1st to 2nd shift and completes the ¼ mile in less than 13 seconds. To answer the question, Navigation units were not available with the Sport Package, so this car does not have a Navigation unit. The KBB trade-in value of the car is $29,715 and reflects what a dealer would pay for a bone stock 2010 Taurus SHO. This does not include the more than $6,000 spent on the performance upgrades. I have a contract with Ford to purchase the car in the next 10 days for $27,500. I have set the starting price at what the dealer has given me in writing that they will buy the car for. I just hate to see this special car end up in the hands of someone that has no clue what they are getting from a dealer that doesn’t know the car. So whoever ends up with the highest bid above the dealer offer takes it. I absolutely hate having to sell it, but I can’t qualify for my home refinance with the payment on my credit right now, so I sadly have no choice. I’m getting sad just having to write this and even more sad that my wife is going to make me go buy a gosh damn friggen Hyundai after the refinance clears!!!! I may be getting divorced !! LOL The car is in nearly perfect condition with no more than some very minor road nicks up front that are common on any and all cars. No door or fender dings or scratches. No damage has ever happened to the car. Silver exterior, black leather interior with suede seat inserts, tinted windows, 20” factory wheels with brand new tires. Car is still under factory warranty and has an extended 75,000 mile warranty. Feel free to e-mail any questions.Bid early as this auction may end early if there are no early bidders.
