Vehicle Detail

Sharpest car in town, gets at least 1 "nice ride" comment a week. I just bought a newer one so this one can be yours. The good: drive train is smooth as silk, it's hard to tell the engine is on at idle. Starts with just a bump of the key everytime. Transmission shifts smooth through all 6 gears, tires are at least 50%, brakes almost new. It hugs the road and corners on a rail, you can accelerate thru turns instead of braking. 21 MPG around town, almost 30 on the highway. I had it to 115 MPH once, will probably go faster (if you have the nerve). Harman Kardon radio with 6 disc CD, plays great and loud with no distortion. All features and gages work perfectly. AC is ice cold. I have had the car for 7 years and it has been garaged nights and all winter, serviced regularly. There is no rust or paint bubbles anywhere. Paint is still deep and rich color with great shine. New, high capacity battery put in last year. Still has original owners manuals and all keys, including valet (limits access to trunk and glove box). The bad: has 12 years of small nicks and scratches, no major body damage ever that I know of. Hit a ground hog a couple of years ago and had lower front damage professionally repaired. There is a small dent in the rear quarter by the tail light I tired to get in picture. From a few steps back none of it it noticable. The top has minor scuffing on the side common on this (the canvas rubs when in down position). Nothing major but noticable. Worst- the top mechanism was replaced 6 years ago, but has developed a leak. It still works, but you have to add fluid (just takes a minute to add to reservoir in trunk) every 2nd or 3rd time up/down. Can be fixed I'm sure, but not sure what is needed. The lost fluid stays in the rear quarter panel and evaporates away I guess, a little occasionally drips out underneath in front of the rear tire. The power antenna works but sticks in the up position unless given a little push, I just leave it up. Last the leather interior has the usual wear, drivers seat the worst with lower side worn with slight tear. The rear seat (just for storage, 0 leg room in back) has some staining, was there when I got it. I have seen new leather covers for it listed on ebay. Bottom line, it's not a new car but you can drive an $80,000 car that still looks and runs great for a lot less. Reserve is low so you should have room to make the repairs to the top and seats and still a good deal, and the sharpest car in your town.
