Vehicle Detail
1941 Ford 2dr. coupe. Choice of build is yours!!! This car is complete and original enough to satisfy every appetite!! Restore to original or bring down the top and build it as a resto, rat, or hot rod!! North Carolina car. Interesting flip up front seat back exposing a large hidden compartment between driver and trunk area. I can only imagine how many cases of moonshine this baby must have held. Ok, some details. All original steel body with very little rust. Front floors are good. Rear floors have moderate easy fix rust through (see photos). Small exterior patches have been installed on front lower sides behind doors. (see photos). The rear lower body panel is also bad, but beyond that it appears to be good solid metal with a lot of dents. The right rear fender is questionable because of the amount of dents and I would replace or rebrace the hood. It needs glass (delaminated). Interior is complete in the front seat area with dash, steering column, switches and gauges in tact and original. The frame is good and has all of the original suspension. Lever shocks still on board as well as rear axle, spindles, hubs, brakes, springs, etc. (see photos). Transmission and driveshaft, complete and in the car. The engine. I will start by admitting that my flathead knowledge is very weak but I am told that the engine is not original and is locked up. Some engine parts are missing; ie: carb, front cover, misc. small parts, BUT the car comes with 2 extra flathead short blocks and 1 extra block. We stripped the car body to learn more about the condition of the body panels and evaluate rust. As you can see in the photos it's basically clean. We shot a quick rattle can primer coat on it to prevent surface rust and yeah, we couldn't resist a coat of red on the wheels to get some visual ideas going. You don't find these old coupes this solid and complete very often. This one needs somebody to build it and I'm already neck deep in existing projects. Feel free to ask any questions. I have tried to describe the car as completely and honestly as I can. I have an old title for the car and will also provide a bill of sale. Sold as is, where is. This car is not operable and will have to be transported. Buyer is responsible for transportation arrangements and costs. We can assist loading. We can deliver within 500 miles of Charlotte NC for a reasonable fee. A $500.00 non refundable deposit must be made within 72 hrs. of purchase through Pay Pal. Balance due at pick up or before by cash or certified check. Car will not be released until funds are verified. Good luck and thank you for bidding, John
