Vehicle Detail
Hello! I bought this car in New York, crossed the country in it on temporary plates and now I`m selling it here in San Francisco. I`m from Germany and I`m flying back on Oct 3rd. I went over 4500 miles in it and it has not given me any trouble. I didn`t top up oil and nothing leaks. It has the 2.5 V6 engine and gets good mpgs and the performance is not bad either as it`s a lighter car. Mileage is 145000. When I put the cruise on 70 on a highway, a $40 fill lastet for 350 miles. Pros: seats & leather are in good shape. Just one small hole the size of a nickel on the driver`s seat that isn`t too obvious. The top works fine and it doesn`t leak. Keyless-go, remote start, A/C (cold), cruise control, cassette radio with adaptor for Mp3 player/ipod Healthy engine, transmission works fine. Has a valid NY inspection sticker until May 2012. Cons: The ABS and Airbag lights are on in the dash. No idea what it needs, I just drove it as it is. The gas springs for the trunk lid need replacing, they don`t hold it open. The previous owner said it could use some new motor mounts (the parts are cheap but it`s a few hours of labour). I couln`t tell that it needed them and I wouldn`t replace them, the car runs well. The top is a bit torn on the edges, doesn`t look too bad. And I put white duct tape over the rear window (see pic), that`s not the most beautiful way of fixing it but it lasted. It has 2 dents on the passenger side (see picture) When I came down the hills to Monterey, I had to brake very often and the front left brake started screetching and the rim became hot. It has been doing it since and I don`t know what it is. Maybe the calliper seized or you may just have to put some break cleaner on it. It has a clear NY title and the seller filled out his part on the 20th of August. I put my name in the "buyer`s name" field and signed at "buyer`s signature" and the date is in there. Didn`t put in an address as I didn`t have one here. Well, I just got temporary tags and didn`t register it anywhere. I`d just cross out my name and put yours in if I were you but I have no clue about the procedures in this country or if you can just get a new title. You'll have to pick up the car within the next 3 days of the auction's end. There is one point I really stress about. I really want to sell the car. I don't want any people that bid and then won"t get in touch or are busy during the next 3 days. I have described the car to my best knowledge, please feel free to come by and have a look at it, it's in Ingleside, San Francisco. Think before you bid and don't be just greedy because the price is low. There is no reserve, so if you're the highest bidder, you'll get the car. Give me a call for a test drive or questions: 1-347-574-4556On Sep-24-11 at 14:15:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot something. The inner door panel of the passenger side door has a cut in it and you can't open the door from the inside. You have to open the window and grab the outside handle. Driver's side works fine...On Sep-26-11 at 13:34:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I have a lot of people with 0 feedback bidding on the car. Can members with less than 10 feedback please contact me before bidding? By the way, I can leave the car here with friends who'd take of handing it over if I have to relist it. So don't try to be the highest bidder and not show up. And then have someone call and offer $200 for it as you know I'm leaving and have to sell it. I won't do it. Please save me and you the trouble of that, please.
