Hello, I'm selling my 928S as I need the shop space, and it's difficult for me to live with as my knees are shot--got hit by a car. This is one of the rare and special S models, this one eitven more so as it's a very early (SN0095) production model. It also has the desirable 5 speed. Mileage is unknown due to the fact that when it was imported the gauge cluster was changed, but it says 172,191, and that would be reasonable based on its age. Engine block code is M28/11 #8200080. Differential code is G28/05 #1105082. The car has a buck tag on the driver's side opening with the vin number and a WA state control number 38096. This should help you with due diligence in verifying the background of the car. I bought it in October of '09, title is clear in my name. Car has a Washington State collector's plate. **Condition is "project" in my opinion. The color is Schwartzmetallic--actually a metallic black. Body is decent, though there are some dents. I've tried to picture them all up close. **Interior is average--front seats aren't bad but there is a wear spot on the outside bolster of the driver's side. Rear seats are toast. They're there, but should be replaced. The rest is there. Full leather as far as I can tell. Front carpets are pretty nice. Steering wheel needs new leather or a cover. I replaced the ignition switch to get it running, so it has the new style with a new style cam to match for the steering unlock. HVAC controls are in Celsius. Dash and pod are cracked as usual. **I've had the car running and it sounds really good. Someone wired in an alarm and ignition switch override that is kinda finicky. The car does run well, but I won't guarantee it will run when you come to pick it up. Plan accordingly with your shipper. I have also driven the car, but only a few miles. On Sep-23-11 at 06:20:34 PDT, seller added the following information: **The car has been stored inside or under cover since I purchased it. I've had the lights on and they do pop up. The driver's side window works, passenger does not. Sunroof makes noise when you hit the switch, but doesn't open. when I drove it the driver's seat belt wouldn't unwind. I have another one that goes with the car. **The car has been repainted. One could enjoy as is, but it needs a paint job IMHO. **One of the fog lamps is cracked so a used replacement is included. I also have a used grille that comes with the car--the vertical bars need replacement, but the big horizontal slats are fine. The passenger door only opens from the inside, and the interior panel is off. **Water pump and timing belt age and/or mileage is unknown. Since this has the higher compression engine, I didn't take any chances and ran it very little. **I did a pretty thorough inspection under the car and found one of the rear shocks is broken, and someone did a cheesy job of welding in a catalytic converter. The car doesn't say "catalyst" anywhere, nor is there a sticker that says unleaded fuel only on the dash. Also, I can't see any rust issues. **Three of the four tires are very good, one is average. I've never tried the AC and assume it doesn't work. **I'll gladly answer any questions you may have!
