Vehicle Detail
1986 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE. This is a beautiful example of a first-year fuel injected car. When I purchased this car, it had been garaged and not driven since 1995 (the last year it was licensed). I purchased it with every intention of keeping it, but have decided to go for a cobra instead. I purchased this from a retired gentleman who bought it in 1993 and rarely drove it. I has less than 3,000 miles since 1993. It is a bright red car. Paint is original and very nice as is the interior. It has the gray cloth sport seats with red piping. Everything is original including the casette stereo. The top is black and in very good condition. Ho tears, fading, or stress marks on the top. The glass window is clear and free of defects. The car came with a nice black top boot. I just purchased the red boot because I wanted the combination, so now it has two looks. The wheels are original and free of curb rash. They look very nice for 15"s. Tires are Toyo. They have less than 3,000 miles. Within the last 10 miles I have done the following: New tie rod ends New air idle motor Complete tune up with new plugs, wires, and cap Cleaning and servicing fuel injectors Replace intake manifild and valve cover gaskets New fuel pump (tank dropped and cleaned) New clutch cable Air conditining serviced and charged New rear end seals New oil and filter, changed rear end oil, flush power steering Throttle body disassembled and cleaned. New clutch cable The car has between 185-195 lbs. in all cylinders with less than 5% difference from low to high and operates at 10.4/1 compression on premium gas This is a very nice example of an early fox body. It has not been up in several weeks. The spot on the lower left by the back window will be washed off. Didn't notice it before I took pics.
