Vehicle Detail

1965 Volvo 122 Driven daily up until about 20 years ago when it was parked. We started and drove it only occasionally after that. The problems that it has now are all related to sitting for too long. It was last started and driven about 4 years ago and at that time it was clear that it would need a brake job and tires. Surprisingly, it ran good after fresh gas, oil and a tune up. Our local vandals have broken both ride side windows and the tires are now completely shot. The rust is all of the type that develops while sitting, (look at the wheel wells in the trunk picture). The floorboards are solid. The body is generally straight & solid. It has no "rust-through" on the body. This has been a southern car it's entire life and has none of the typical rusted areas found in northern cars. This would make a fairly easy amateur restoration. It does have a nice straight front bumper with a grill guard that is not pictured that goes with it. There are many extra parts and at least one manual. Obviously it would have to be trailered wherever it went. It has a clear Oklahoma title and current tag through May of 2012. The car is located in Tulsa. I have added pictures. People have asked to show floorboards and there are some pictures showing the floors. They don't show much since the floors are still covered with the tar paper that has been there since new. There is no rust through anywhere on this car. Again, all the rust is superficial. The body is solid. The floorboards, all of them are rock solid as are the wheel wells, fender rims and entire body. for this kind of money I am not going to go scrape the tar paper off just to show that the floors are solid. If you buy it and they are rusted just don't take it. They are not rusted. Read the original description. I am not trying to mislead or misrepresent. I just do not want to take a car this good to the crusher. It comes with a lot of spare parts. I noticed that there was a new, still in the original packaging, set of front turn signal lens. The battery tray is not corroded out, (see new pictures). This is what it is. A solid old Volvo that has sat too long and needs the kind of attention that an amateur mechanic can provide. For a fraction of it's value it can make someone a beautiful collectible car. You will not find a rust free specimen this good for anywhere near what this is listed for.
