Vehicle Detail

For Sale - 1972 240Z Mileage reads 119K, but I can't validate this from the history. As far as what I have been told I am the second owner of this car. Original color was silver but was re-painted some time in the 90's to the red. Paint is far from perfect but as a driver it is fine. This car is a great candidate for a total restore as it is a very solid car. this 240 has minimal rust.. a little pinhole here and there on the rockers, under hatch and over wheel. Solid floors throughout, and, the frame rails where they meet the firewall are solid... most of the time these cars rust bad in those areas. Mechanically The engine is the original. The engine was pulled at the time of the repaint to be painted the same color as the car. New front disc brakes were installed. New brake booster and brake fluid reservoir, new clutch and clutch fluid reservoir, new radiator and shroud as well as hoses and thermostat. New heater core and lines, new 390cfm Holly carb (needs a spacer between carb and intake for better air/fuel mixing). New tires with less than 100 miles on them. Pertronix ignition (no points). New cap, plugs, and wires. New starter, battery and cables. 5 speed transmission from a 280Z added for better drivability and response. Interior NOS wheel, all the guages except for the clock work. All the lights work. At some time somebody put a new carpet in this car but it is not a bad job, just not correct to the car. What's Left To Do This car needs the spacer between the carb and intake to run 100%. Car purs like a kitten, does not smoke or sputter. It is when you really get on it that it wants to act up. The rod from the passenger door handle to the release needs to be re-attached. I do not want to take the door panel off to do so. It just recently stopped working correctly.
