This is the truck. You know what it is if you are even looking at this ad. It is the most desirable of all the 2nd Generation Dodge 2500 - the 1998 12 Valve Cummins Diesel - 4 door - 4 wheel drive - SWB. It is a true survivor and is absolutely bone stock. The accident it shows as moderate is the very minor damge that I describe to the front bumper in the description - the car that was rear impacted by this truck probably recieved moderate damage though. I have nothing to hide at all on this truck. This is a great truck. This truck has just under 220,000 highway miles on it. It is barely broken in. The 12 valve Cummins is known to give well over 750,000 miles. The engine cranks right up no matter the temperature and has no leaks and no issues. Engine has no blowby. Truck has the 3.55 gears mated to the automatic transmission with overdrive. Yes this truck will get 20 mpg + out on the highway. The truck steers with no slop in the steering - everything is remarkably tight for a 13 year old truck. The interior is nearly perfect with the exception of a slight wear spot on the drivers seat from getting in and out over the years and a few slight stains on the headliner and carpets from normal use. The dash is perfect with no cracks at all. A/C blows ice cold. Has the factory CD / Tape / AM/FM unit which works great - this digital display lights some act a little funny - but it plays without any faults. Power drivers seat works as it should. Cruise control works as it should. Power Windows work as they should as do the power locks and the keyless entry remote. The body is well above average for a truck this age - no rust - no major dents. There a few scratches as one would expect on a used truck - but the truck has all its paint and clear coat which is rare for a dodge. The undercarrage shows that the truck has probably never been off roaded at all - it is as clean as any 4 wheel drive I have seen. The bed has a nice flip up hide away 5th wheel ball and the truck has the factory tow package. The truck also has a reciever hitch under the front bumper. There is a very nice Kobalt / Lowes brand locking deep toolbox - with keys. Nice chrome step bumpers and chrome bed rail covers. The only negative things I can find on the truck at all is the small wear spot in the drivers seat mentioned earlier and the front bumper is slightly dented in.
