Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1938 Buick L90 Limousine this is one of only 410 ever made. This car has been in the same family for the past 30 plus years and has been garage kept until the last year for space reasons and must go. The interior is in Great Condition. The paint is rough and flaking with minor surface rust. The rest of the car appears to be rust free. The car is running very well and the drive train functions flawlessly. This could be great for weddings and special events with only four new tires and some paint! To have a look at the car and see and hear it run please check out this video we took on Saturday the 17th of September. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCiRuycqLqc The car is located in Northeast Georgia about an hour from Augusta Regional Airport if you would like to fly in to have a test drive. Shoot us an email if you have any questions. Car will not be released until all funds are cleared. The State of Georgia does not require titles on older and antique vehicles so Vehicle will be sold by bill of sale . Serious Bidders Only on this piece of American History. Description and History. (Taken from the internet not created by us!) 141hp, 320.2 cu. in. Buick Dynaflow overhead valve inline eight-cylinder engine, single downdraft carburetor, three-speed sliding gear manual transmission, independent coil spring front and semi-floating rear axle, four-wheel hydraulic brakes. Wheelbase: 140" The styling of the Series 90 Limited Buicks underwent only minor changes for 1938. A more vertical grille, a slightly longer hood, taller front bumper guards and more stylish front fender running lights similar in shape to the headlamps were the most distinctive features. It would also be the last year Buick utilized wood in the construction of its bodies for the Roadmaster and Limited Series. Mechanically there were a number of substantial improvements. Use of a coil rear suspension was an industry first. This, combined with a two-inch longer wheelbase provided an even smoother more comfortable ride. The use of crowned 'tabulator' pistons increased engine compression and overall horsepower. Buick built a mere 410 Series 90 Limited Limousines in 1938 and this is a great example of the surviving few and ALL ORIGINAL. Stately features include a clock, wide whitewall tires, dual side-mounted spares in hard covers, a grille guard and dual fog lamps. As expected, a dividing glass separates the driver from the passengers. Instructions regarding their wishes are conveyed through a speaking tube system which is hidden away when not in use. Despite the availability of Daimlers, Rolls-Royces and Bentleys, the English Royal family had a penchant for Buick Limousines throughout the 1930s.This, ready-to-roll, rare aristocrat of Buicks is a pleasure to drive and a very majestic way to arrive
