Vehicle Detail
We are offering for sale this 1990 Spider Quadrifoglio that is not only a beautiful looking car, but a seriously fun sports car that will provide years of fun driving and also grace you with some wonderful Italian style. In 1986, the Spider series received a revised interior and yet another trim level: the Quadrifoglio. The top-of-the-line Spider Quadrifoglio possessed an interior similar to that found in the Veloce, but with blood red carpets and gray leather seats with contrasting red stitching. On the outside, the Quadrifoglio was distinctively styled with a controversial plastic body kit that consisted of front and rear lower bumpers as well as side skirts. It also came with unique 15" alloy wheels and a removable hardtop. Alfa offered the Quadrifoglio in only three colors: Red, Silver, and Black. Graduate, Veloce, and Quadrifoglio trims were offered to American buyers until 1990. I am the owner of Dynotech Auto Repair here in St.Paul. MN. and we specialize in exotic and collectable cars. We purchased this alfa from one of our retired customers who was and Alfa enthusiast in Chamblee, GA. in 1997 and started upgrading the car after he purchased it. Here are some of the upgrades that were done that make this car a real joy to drive on your favorite roads. Koni Yellow Shocks, Center line Front Springs, close ratio 5 speed transmission that shifts smooth and fast, International auto parts heavy duty clutch and Hella headlamps. A complete valve clearance adjustment was also done and stainless oversize exhaust was added. You can see why we acquired this beauty and had visions of keeping it for fun weekends. After storing the car for over a year, we realized that we simply don't have time to enjoy it so it must go to a good home. We just performed a complete tuneup including new spark plugs, changed all the fluids, lubricated the convertible top and power window mechanisms, adjusted engine timing, installed new brake pads, had rotor front and rear machined, changed the brake fluid and installed a new Delco battery so you will drive away with confidence. The photos speak for themselves and you can clearly see that the underside is clean and solid, showing you many of the new parts. The body is nice and solid, with a few minor nicks and scratches here and there as you would expect on a Alfa this age. The canvas convertible top is in beautiful condition and has a stunning appearance against the rich Alfa Red paint. The hardtop is a real bonus with this car and gives you an entirely different sports car look. Hard to beat this combo. The hardtop has a few dents in the silver perforated band that runs across the top and that I'm sure could be pulled out if you care to do that. There is also a windshield wiper scratch that was there and appears to have been made by the tip of the driver side windshield wiper. The cosmetics are very good overall and of course some areas do show age, like the gray leather on the seats having some minor signs of age. We would like this car to find a good home so please feel free to email with questions or give me a call at 651-287-0379 if you have additional questions. A 20% non refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. If you have wanted to own one of these legendary Alfa's, this one will provide some fun times. Enjoy!
