Ok guys, what we have here is a AAR 340 six-pack. Purchased this car about two years ago and just recently bought it back. It has an unstamped 340 TA block that is standard bore, factory forged pistons, factory TA rods, windage tray, factory J heads with off-set rockers, and original 340 six-pack cam. Block has never been blown up. I own an automotive machine shop and I am the one who personally assembled this engine. I know for a fact what's in it, unlike some of the more dolled up cars out there. No one ever talks of the correct pieces inside a 340 six-pack engine, but isn't that what this car was all about...the engine? Handling? And looking cool? Now, the car also has the correct TA steering box with pitman arm that says "fast ratio" on it, power steering, factory tack and gauges that work-or rally cluster-whichever you prefer, and 342 surgrip. I do have the fender tag and the TA tag, new carpet kit, headliner, a bill sheet that was found behind the passenger seat, but it is one VIN number off. Very similar car. This is the real deal. Still has Texas '84 tags as this is the last time it was on the road, however it still runs, drives and stops great. The bad: a little rust in the driver floor (don't think it would require a new floor!), small rust spot in the trunk. I know this car was listed for sale recently, as I said earlier, I bought it back and now, just don't need it. Will be retiring soon. Car also listed for sale locally. Any questions, call me.
