Vehicle Detail

No Reserve. 1965 Volvo 122S Amazon---2 door sedan, 4 cyl., dual SU carbs, 4-speed manual transmission. Odometer reads approx. 30,000 miles, I am sure it has turned over atleast once... No title, I will provide the buyer with a notarized bill of sale. Car is in overall good to poor condition with rust on some of the body panels and rust on the lower panel below the right door at the rear wheel well opening. Car was originally red in color. I shot pictures of all the problem areas... The under carriage/ frame, floor boards are all solid with surface rust, except for the passenger front floorboards. There is a spot where I was able to knock a small hole thru the metal due to rust/scaling. Trunk floor is solid... Car has been in Montana most of it's lifetime, climate is dry and state does not use salt on the hiways in the winter. Interior is fairly complete but in poor to good condition, dashboard is cracked in numerous spots and will need to be replaced or recovered. Headliner is in good condition with one small "L" shaped rip approx. 2" long. Glass is all there and in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Tires show some weather checking but are holding air and have decent tread. The trunk molding/latch mechanism is broken, there is an old repair to the battery compartment, someone used fiberglass/body filler to fix. Brakes are currently not functioning, I assume over the years the brake oil leaked out and the seals will need to be replaced. Engine is seized, the gentleman I bought it from told me 10 years ago he had driven it to the spot where it was when I bought it, and after sitting that long the engine had seized. He had taken the starter off thinking it had something to do with the starter... (thats why the starter is in the trunk...) I poured penetrating oil into the top of the cylinders thru the sparkplug holes. I was able to get the engine to turn over but it hit a hard spot and won't move thru it. I assume there is something wrong with a piston rod or some other component that is making the engine not turn over. Engine will need to be rebuilt or replaced. All in all this car is well worth restoring... Shipping arrangements and shippng costs are the buyers responsibility. I will help in anyway that I can in getting the car loaded onto a car hauler for shipment. I am willing to bring it to Helena, Montana (zip is; 59601) where I am sure the trucker/driver would want to load it. I will allow the buyer to store the vehicle on my property for up to 3 months (possibly longer---email me) to arrange shipping. No Reserve. Buyer pays actual shipping cost.
