RE-LISTED TO BLOCK OUT MY PLATE NUMBER "The car is a rocket and it gets great gas mileage as well. You don't even think you are under way at double nickel, you begin to notice the car is moving at around 100 mph." -- General comment from Kelley Blue Book user I'm moving abroad, and can't take car with me. Sadly parting with this awesome car. Full working condition, no defective parts, no need for any repairs, ice-cold A/C, new battery, new tires, etc. Summary: - 2005 Audi A6 4.2L V8 Quattro; 57,300k miles (bought at 50k miles on January 2010 through eBay – very positive experience on the transaction, and have been very happy with the vehicle). - Clean title. - Selling because I’m moving abroad – have to part with vehicle. - Driven only 7-8k miles in 1 year and 8 months. - Dark gray exterior (metallic paint), gray leather interior. Aluminum trim. - “Sport Package” includes 18” rims, sports suspension, and a rear spoiler. - Current/complete maintenance record.- I've only put 93 octane fuel on the car - Freebies: Recently-replaced tires. Recent full synthetic oil change. Recently replaced battery. Updated system software and recent 2008/09 NAV DVD disc. - I am the vehicle’s 3rd owner. Important: Previous owner was a car aficionado living in Tennessee, who was a 4+ time Audi 4.2L owner, had written articles for Excellence Mag (largest Porsche Magazine) -- basically pampered the car, and presumably bought it at pristine condition. He mentioned to me that there were no known issues with car during his ownership – and the car was “110% sound”. This proved to be true. - Car was shipped to me to Miami, FL from Tennessee in January 2010 in a closed container. During my ownership, I’ve only put about 8k on the car (very short commute) and have kept up with the car’s inspections, maintenance, etc. More photos available in my Photobucket:http://s1107.photobucket.com/albums/h394/el_guineo/ Specifics: - Navigation system (includes newer disc with 2008/09 maps) - 6-CD changer (glove compartment) - Bose Premium Sound System, with surround sound - Sirius/XM satellite radio ready - Bluetooth telephone integration - 6-speed automatic transmission, has “manual” Steptronic mode - Seat memory (x2), dual power seats - Super-cold AC - Sport package; 18” rims; sport suspension, rear spoiler - Electronic parking brake Maintenance/Custom Work: - 12/15/2009: Previous owner advised he changed the oil using Mobil 1 full synthetic. This was only 3,000 after the car’s previous oil change. - 1/07/2010: Received car. Replaced Battery (transport during cold weather likely affected the battery, which was weak on car’s arrival). - 1/10/2010: Full detailing and installed window tints at a reputable car detailing shop nearby. Nice for reducing heat in hot weather ($120 value for quality tints). - 1/12/2010: Installed updated Navigation DVD – 2008/2009 version (previously had the 2005 version) ($85 for the disc) - 1/12/2010: Installed updated MMI discs for the car – this upgraded the car’s operating system to the latest version. - 1/18/2010: Replaced center console, door, and passenger side trims. Previously, the car had a wooden trim (which I hated). The new trim is a light/brushed aluminum, which looks awesome with the gray interior. All OEM Audi parts ($550 in parts). - 2/27/2010: Routine brake pad and fluid check at Sears Auto Center. Pads were new, just exchanged brake fluid. - 5/1/2010: Replaced all 4 tires with brand new Sumitomo performance tires – the tread on the existing tires was a little worn. Cost: $600+ - 5/30/2010: Received an email from Audi, they issued a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) saying ignition coils on my car make/model might be affected. Took it to Authorized Audi Dealer where they replaced the ignition coils free of charge. Also preformed a free inspection – “clean bill of health”. FYI – didn’t have problems with Ignition Coils before. Cost: Free - 1/29/2011: First yearly checkup at Authorized Audi Dealer – “clean bill of health”. - 3/7/2011: Car’s first “5k” oil change after purchase (had been driven exactly 5,000 miles since last oil change). Used Motul Synergie oil, and also had a filter change. - 3/16/2011: Vehicle had faulty oil pressure sensor which was replaced by Audi Service at Prestige Imports. Received another free Audi inspection – “clean bill of health”. - 9/8/2011: Full detailing/wax job. Past & Known Issues: - Oil Pressure Sensor: Light came on in March 2011. Was a faulty “sensor” - had it replaced by Audi in under 1hr. No problems since. - Headlights: Normal light yellowish buildup that happens on cars with > 3yrs. Can probably be buffed out at a detailer. - Windshield: Tiny dent on windshield, driver side (< 1mm). Barely noticeable, but can probably get windshield replaced for free by the State Dept. - Wheels: Regular use nicks/scratches on wheels. The car has driven perfectly and without issue, and has been thrice (3x) given a “clean bill of health” from my local Authorized Audi dealer during the vehicle’s regular check-ups. No odd smells and/or other issues/defects to report. Valuation (Kelley Blue Book) - Assumptions: Audi A6 4.2L; 57k miles, sport package; integrated phone; premium wheels. All other assumptions are the “as-is” basic/included ones. - Rating: 4.6/5.0 from KBB users - Kelley Blue Book Value / Good: $21,280 (Private party). The car is definitely in this category or above. - Kelley Blue Book Value / Fair: $19,500 (Private party). Can ship anywhere nationwide, as long as you cover shipping and coordinate the logistics (I recommend something like uShip – I used it when I bought the vehicle from previous owner and had a very positive experience)
