Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 2004 Mazda3 S Hatchback that is in outstanding condition (See pictures and description below) and I have clear title to the car. Please know upfront that I am not a dealer, broker or affiliated with any car selling service. I am just an individual selling his car. Please look at my eBay feedback and know that I am honest and very fair to deal with. You can be confident that if you buy this car from me that everything as I describe it is accurate and truthful. Why am I selling this car? The simple answer is that the car is no longer needed. I purchased this car in April 2011 after searching for the perfect Mazda 3 for five full months. I bought this car for my son as a car he could drive in college. Unfortunately, my son has chosen to attend a school where a car will not be needed. We decided there was no reason to keep the car for four years to only use it when he visits during breaks so that is why I am now selling the car. Car Description: The car has only 63,661 miles on it and has had 1 previous owner prior to me and that gentleman bought it new from the dealer and took extremely good care of the car as I have in the 5 short months I have owned it. You will see from the pictures that this car is super clean. The color is Velocity Red (metallic red) with black/red cloth interior. In addition to the lengthy list of standard features that came on the 2004 Mazda 3 S Hatchback, the following options were added to the car: Front & Rear side airbags Xenon headlights Tire pressure monitoring system 6 CD Changer with Premium sound system Sunroof The car has never been in an accident, has never been smoked in, has been garage kept, and has had every Mazda recommended service performed per the maintenance schedule. The car has new sport Kumho tires (less than 7,000 miles on them), new wiper blades, a relatively new battery (1 year old), and all scheduled maintenance is up to date. In fact, right after I purchased the car, I had the 60,000 Major Service performed and I just changed the oil last week using Valvoline 5W-20 Fully Synthetic oil along with a premium K&N oil filter. The car needs absolutely nothing done to it mechanically and does not need any service performed until the next oil change at 68,000 miles. When I bought the car I had two pre-purchase inspections performed. One by a Mazda dealer (Superior Mazda) and another by an independent shop (Pro Auto Care) that specializes in Mazdas and both shops said the car was in outstanding shape from every perspective. I can send an interested buyer via email both pre-purchase inspections, as well as the invoice for the 60,000 major service. In addition, I can send the Car Fax from April 2011 when I bought the car. I also have all the receipts from the first owner and all receipts since I have owned the car. The exterior of the car is in excellent shape. However the car does have a number of minor rock chips and a few small scratches in various places. I have attached a picture of the one scratch (on the edge of the roof) that is the worse one, but it is only about 1 inch long and is hard to see in the sun light. All chips and scratches have been touched up with touch up paint and from 5 feet away you would be hard pressed to see any of the paint blemishes that have touch up paint on them. The interior is in very good shape as well, but I cannot call it excellent. There are no rips or tears in any of the seating surfaces. However, the driver’s seat does show some slight wear along with a few wrinkles in the seat and the side bolster as those areas see the most use over time. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but those areas in the driver’s seat just look a little faded compared to the rest of the seating surface. The carpet is in good shape everywhere with no stains or tears. However, the carpet that covers the dead pedal (where you rest your left foot while it is not engaged with the clutch) shows wear and looks a little dirty even after I have cleaned it. Personally, I do not know why Mazda did not cover the dead pedal with vinyl or plastic as those materials hold up much better than carpet does over the long run. The good news is that you really cannot see the carpet over the dead pedal unless you are looking under the dashboard so you really do not notice it. In addition, there are some very, very minor scratches in the front of the glove box where it looks like someone rested their dirty shoes briefly. You have to look very hard to see them and the sun has to be just right, but I want to point out any flaws that I am aware of. Payment & Shipping: The winner bidder will provide a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction and the remaining balance and pick up of the vehicle will occur within one week unless the parties mutually agree otherwise. I will be more than willing to work with the buyer to arrange to have the vehicle shipped to the buyer's location. The buyer is responsible for any shipping costs.Miscellaneous: I have both keys along with the original key fobs that came with the car and both key fobs work fine. The purchaser of the car if desired can take with them the three unopened (5 quart containers) of Valvoline Fully Synthetic oil I have left along with 2 premium K&N oil filters and the oil filter wrench cap specific to the Mazda 3. I no longer need those items so the purchaser is welcome to have them. I recommend that any potential buyer research Edmunds.com and KBB.com to get an idea of the market value of this car. As I mentioned above, I searched five months to find this car for my son, and to my point of view, it is in extremely good condition, with low miles and does not need anything done to it mechanically, including any scheduled maintenance. The buyer of this car can literally just drive away with it and not have to worry about anything.
