I am reluctantly selling my 1973 BMW R75/5 motorcycle. I am the third owner and have owned it for 16 months. I thought I would have more time to ride it, but other interests are taking preference. I purchased it from the long term second owner who had not ridden it in some time. It has an original 17,074 miles. Last year it got the following: new battery, new front and rear tires, tubes, and bands, new handle grips, new spark plugs, air filter, oil, and oil filter. It starts right up and runs and shifts fine. Everything works as it should. Included are a BMW factory workshop manual, a Vetter Windjammer fairing, cover and some other odds and ends. This is being sold as is, as shown. Due to it's age, the state of Maine will not issue a title for it. It is therefore being sold with a Maine State registration and a bill of sale. The buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. I will require a $500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of the close of the auction. I will accept the deposit and only the deposit by PayPal. The balance is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. If you do not intend on picking up the bike within 7days of the close of the auction, the balance must be made by bank transfer within the 7 day period. The only acceptable forms of payment are either cash on delivery or a bank transfer. No other form of payment will be accepted. If all payments are made within the above time frames, I will be happy to store the bike inside for 30 days from the close of the auction.
