Here up for auction I have my personal car that I have owned for the past 2 years, I have been a huge vw enthusiast for a long time and when you work in the car industry buying and selling used cars for a living it’s tough to keep a car for a long time, I purchased this car with the intentions of going to vw shows and events but I have only been able to make it to 2 in the past 2 years with my schedule, I really do not want to part with this car but I also don’t want to leave it parked in my garage for another couple of years it deserves someone that’s going to drive it and use it. Below I will describe this car to the best of my knowledge and I have posted over a dozen detailed pictures, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. The exterior is in very good shape for its age, it seems to have been repainted a long time ago and it has kept up pretty well, the car is very solid with the only rust being underneath the driver’s door (pictured) everything else is just light surface, I have seen many mk1 jettas but this one has to be one of the sharpest looking ones, the floor pans and trunk are very solid. The interior is in good shape, no major rips or tears just wear as it has the factory carpets and panels , I installed a Wolfsburg steering wheel on it because I think it was cooler than the original. I have the factory OEM front seats that will come with the car, I put on the recaro trophies because they feel really nice and they are in great shape. It will come with the original front seats and the recaro trophies. 1.6L turbo diesel, the miles on this car is unknown because the odometer stopped working, this car fires up instantly and sounds GREAT! , very little smoke that’s common for all these diesels. I have had this car parked for as long as 6months and turn the key and it fires up instantly, I have done 3 oil changes since owning it both with rotella t oil. The turbo spools up great. 4-speed manual transmission shifts all gears nicely..It goes in to reverse nicely as well. Mk2 steelies painted in white.. The tires are in great shape. Aftermarket headlights with h.i.d’s Thule roof rack. Extended long shifter. Heat works great The headlights and tail lights are not sprayed, we used a film made for headlights and tail lights and it can be removes easy. The car will need brakes, they are very low and the emergency brake is not grabbing, although I drive it like this and I would myself drive it anywhere the buyer really has to be careful. One of the front wheel hubs (bearing) is very noisy and will need replacing asap. The car has been lowered (springs cut) It will be sold tmu (true miles unknown) because the odometer and Speedo is inop. title reads 286,375 Front windshield has a crack. Driver’s side window comes of track if lowered all the way.
