The 968 is the last of the Porsche 924, 944 and 968 trilogy. It was available as a coupe or cabriolet and was powered by a 4 cyl, 3.0 L, 236 hp motor. The 968 was only made 1992-1995 and over that time frame there were only 2,248 968 cabriolets produced and sent to the US. So these gorgeous beauties are few and far between. The sleek black body and black convertible top against the gorgeous gray leather interior make this particular 968 cabriolet a real beauty. Power seats, power mirrors, power windows and power locks. Ice cold a/c, and the heat works great so a drop in the temperature doesn't prevent you from being able to drop the top. Only 47k miles. Adult owned. Non-smoker. Never raced. Never abused. Always garaged and well maintaned. I bought it 5 years ago and have only put 20,000 miles on it. This is my 3rd 968 (1 coupe and 2 cabriolets) and I just love them. They are gorgeous, fun and extremely rare. You see Boxsters all over the place, but I bet you haven't seen many 968s around town. However, despite all the wonderful things about the 968, the factory stereos from the early to mid 90s leave much to be desired. And since the fun of owning a convertible is having the top down, I replaced the woeful factory stereo with a high quality audio system to guarantee you can enjoy excellent sound - even at interstate speeds with the top down - and it's all hidden from view. The upgraded sound system involved some custom fabricaton, and the beautiful carpentry and embroidery you see in the photos behind the seats and in the trunk make this 968 truly one of a kind. AND: I also added satellite radio, an ipod dock and an in-dash cd player which together ensure you can always listen to your favorite tunes. AND: I added the cup wheels (shown in photos). AND: I upgraded the battery and will include the trickle charger. AND: I will also throw in a dash mounted Magellan RoadMate 700 portable GPS unit and power cord (shown in photos). AND unlike most convertible sports cars, there is actually ample storage to make the Porsche 968 functional as a daily driver. In addition to the two compartments behind the seats, the trunk is big enough to hold 2 golf bags, duffel bags or small suitcases for a weekend getaway! I've done it many times!
