Up for auction is my Rare 1980 CJ5 Laredo with V8 and 4-speed with only 69,409 Actual Miles in beautiful original condition. All original paint and rust free from California. The color is Bordeaux Metallic which is a metallic burgundy and in my opinion the most beautiful color Jeep ever painted a CJ. It was a life-long garaged California Jeep until I bought it a few months ago and has been stored in my garage since. The Laredo was only offered in a CJ5 1980 and 1981. Of course the only 2 years you could get together V8, 4-spd, 15X8 Chrome Wheels and High Back seats in a CJ5. Body: The body is in amazing condition which is rust and dent free. The paint is all original and still nice condition. There is place on the driver's side upper rear where the paint has been buffed to the primer which can be seen in the picture. The decals are original and show some wear due to being polished also. The interior floors other than some scratches don't show any wear and shine. Very little paint wear on the door openings which are usually quite worn from people getting in and out. Just another benefit of low original miles. The undercarriage is untouched original and rust free. Interior: The interior is in Mint condition. There are no tears. I did have the lowers in the seats recovered due to splitting at the seams and the carpet on the side looked worn on the driver's side but did the passenger also. They turned out perfect and match great. The silver stripes in the lowers are the original ones that were taken from the old. The carpet is original and in nice condition. The carpet for the rear floor is missing but paint on floor not worn. All gauges work other than the clock. The dash was cut for an aftermarket radio by the original owner. The radio does not work. It has a tilt steering column. The full roll bar is a necessity in a CJ5. The windshield is like new with no chips or cracks. Drivetrain: This Laredo is equipped with the original 304 V8 and T176 4spd transmission which run and shift great. It is cold natured like the majority of CJ's. The Jeep drives down the road great with tight suspension as you would expect with 69,409 actual miles. The exhaust looks original and is in nice shape. It has all 4 new shocks and new steering stabilizer. Still has all functioning smog equipment. Top: The top is the original Whitco in fantastic shape. I did have all the windows replaced and a new zipper installed on the driver's side. Wheels and Tires: All 5 tires are new with only 1 mile on them mounted on nice factory 15X8 Chrome wheels. 15X8 chrome wheels were only offered on the 1979 Silver Anniversary and 1980 & 1981 Laredo's. The previous owner sold the original wheels not knowing they were original. I tracked down a set. The front 2 are 1980 wheels since they do not have the holes for center caps. The rear 2 and spare are 1981 wheels since they have holes for center caps. I will include a nice pair of center caps for the rears.
