Vehicle Detail
This vehicle is being offered as a reserve auction with a starting price of $6,000.00 This car has not been driven on the road for two years, however, it will come with a fresh Pennsylvania State Inspection. The V8 conversion took place in 2006 and has approximately 4000 miles on the new all Ford drive train. The 2300 pound car is powered by a balanced and blue printed bored out 302 ford small block. The internals are all high performance parts and produce gobs of horsepower. The frame has been reinforced at the motor attach points and on the frame rails leading to the rear shock towers. The engine was placed to produce no torque steer. A Ford five speed manual transmission is connected to the engine with a competition clutch that has been converted from hydraulic to mechanical (see engine bay pics). The rear end remains the stock MG 3.90 and has held up bravely against the torque. The rally wheels are in good shape as are the tires which have the same mileage as the engine. The engine is set up to run off of twin Opitma batteries and has no alternator. The water is moved around with an electric water pump leaving no spinning accessories to rob RPM (see engine bay pics). A large capacity aluminum radiator provides cooling for the racing engine. Fuel is supplied by a high output electric fuel pump, and fuel is held in an aluminum 10 gallon fuel cell located in the trunk. The electrical system has independently fused circuits to include unique electric cooling fan, electric fuel pump, and electric water pump overrides (see guarded switches in cockpit) Interior was replaced as new when the conversion took place. This is a full time convertible designed to be driven short distances at great speed in perfect weather.
