This is a rare and highly desirable original Porsche 930 Turbo. This 1978 model was the first year for the 3.3 liter engine with intercooler, larger 917 style brakes and the classic rear spoiler.Porsche only produced 461 of these cars for the U.S. market in 1978. You are bidding on model # 95. I am the fourth private owner of this beautiful classic. I purchased this car from Renn Sport Motors in Medina, Ohio in 2006 after they had completely rebuilt the engine including new pistons, cylinders, bearings cams, rockers, seals and timing chains. They also rebuilt the transmission with all new synchros and a new clutch and replaced the turbo with a new K27 unit. (see former add from Renn Sport in photos) This car is completely stock with the exception of being lowered to euro specs, a new AM - FM - CD player that is Ipod compatable, and beautiful sounding Quad Borla exhaust system. I have only added 10,000 miles to this car since I purchased it. Even though the original paint and body looked great and had no rust or prior body work, I made the decision the have it completely sanded down and repainted by an authorized dupont certified body shop including a clear coat finish that was not available in 1978. Prior to painting, I added a passenger side rear view mirror that was a factory option but not originally equiped on this car. This 930 is absolutely STUNNING! On the interior, I replaced the original pair of sun visors and added an after market cup holder that can be removed and reinstalled at anytime into the lighter outlet. All of the original interior controls work as well as the day this car was built including the electric sunroof, power windows, air conditioning, heat and defrost controls, speedo, tach, turbo boost gauge, fuel, oil pressure, interior convenience lights, rear window defroster, dash clock and fog light controls. I replaced the original dash with a $1000.00 after market replacement dash from Performance Products along with an under dash after market trim package that cleans up and hides the old under dash wiring that came with this model from the factory and I added a two outlet accessory package for cell phone and Ipod charging. I replaced all the tires 6,000 miles ago and had the front end allignment checked earlier this year. This car has been garaged daily since I've owned it. By the way it also comes with a custom fitted canvas cover along with a Porsche original black vinyl bra although I must admit I've never put it on the car. I have the original porsche owner's manual and maintenance booklet along with many invoices for service work dating back to the original owner and including work that Renn Sport Motors did and all work I had performed. I've limited the mileage on this car to 2000 miles a year only to help retain it's value. It's been on road trips of 400 miles 5 or 6 times. The rest of the miles were to and from the local grocery store and golf course on weekends only. However, I'm confident if you wanted to drive it from coast to coast, go for it! I'll be glad to let anyone talk with my local service tech or the body shop that performed the paint job for me. So if you are a true Porsche 930 purist, this is the one for you!
