Vehicle Detail
1998/99 DB7 Dunhill Volante 58,000 Miles from new (purchased in march 1999) Beautiful condition, drives great. One owner till 2007. Maticulously maintained at Aston Martin dealer Miller Motorcars in CT. Great chance to own a super rare Alfred Dunhill in the most desirable color combo-bright silver with charcoal leather interior piped in silver (including 2 sets of wheels). Car has only been serviced in New York by Newport Pagnell trained factory mechanic. Car was assigned a "salvage" title as a precutionary measure due to a flood, the original owner explained that the water had risen only to the rocker sills and did not actually enter the car, hence the carpets and the trunk did not get wet, he drove the car to be inspected at Miller, who informed him that the car checked out okay, but would still qualify for insurance loss for flood damage as a "precusion", even though no damage had been observed (This loss then qualified him to purchase a new vehicle from Miller). No damage or issues were caused electrical or otherwise. The instrument cluster/ Speedo motor was replaced later at 50,080 miles (Unrelated to water damage) with a used unit showing 72,000 miles (original instrument cluster is with the car and can be repaired if sent back to UK should one care to) Since the car has been driven sparingly, adding an additional 7,600 odd miles ( thus the 58,000 miles). During this time the supercharger was removed as it was a bit noisy and sent back to Eaton and rebuilt with every moving part replaced to "as new" condition. Car has never been involved in any accidents, runs and drives exremely well with no issues, steering is tight and precise, breaks feel freat and all electrics work correctly. Convertable top powers up and down smoothly and fast. Paint work is still in great condition, bright and shiny (bumpers have some scuffs/chips) the charcoal leather with silver piping is in beautiful condition with minimum wear. Brushed stainless steel accented interior trim really set it off (even the leather on the dashtop is perfect, with no shrinkage). Convertable mohair top is deep black and in great condition, factory over matts and umbrella for the trunk. Fitted with sports pak style wheels (original Dunhill speedline wheels are included). Owners manual, 2 sets of keys, books and recipts included. Windshield was hit by a stone, its legal and ok to drive, but will need to be replaced. DB7 i6 gremlins: air conditioning does not blow very cold and Air bags light is on, even though it is all testing out fine, after twice being checked/inspected. This DB7 still is a stunning head turner and a powerful fun car to drive, these cars are very reliable and will give years of service, and wont break the bank to maintain. Forty year Aston owner & AMOC enthusiast, who seached long and carefully for this car. Car has been kept in climate controlled garage undercover since new. Please call to inspect, the vehicle is in midtown Manhattan- Gordon 212-582-3803. $1000.00 deposit within 24 hours at end of auction, balance within 7 days. Cash, check or money transfer.
