Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1974 Honda CB750 with 21,150 miles and counting. It has fresh paint on the tank and tail piece. It i s a flat clearcoat which has the flat-effect from 10 feet back and looks glossy as you get closer. The basecoat is a dark metallic gray or gunmetal color. Overall the bike is in great condition for the age. There are some minor nicks and chips throughout the bike, nothing major. The chome is not perfect with some pitting but it's a 74'. Its been getting lots of compliments since it was sprayed last week. The rest of the bike was torn down by me about 3 years ago. I stripped and painted the frame, motor, and wheels, Wrapped the exhaust, added aftermarket pod filters, The carbs were fitted with larger jets to tune the exhaust and filter, she runs smooth, fast, loud, and strong. the Exhaust is a straight pipe, no muffler, it sounds great, its loud, but I've never been harassed about it. The handlebars are drag bars, with oury grips, and Short stalk blinkers. The seat was custom made from the stock seat pan, its all metal, the cover is custom made black vinyl with red stitching, it still unlatches with the factory key. The ignition is aftermarket. I purchased the bike from the original owner who had let the bike sit a few years. I got the bike and returned it to excellent running condition prior to teardown at 18k miles, the motors internals are stock, It doesn't leak or smoke. She runs like a Honda should. It has been very reliable, and never left me stranded. The tires have good tread ,80% and pliable but do show some dry checked areas, I personally see another two seasons on them. The only thing not present on the bike is the the knob to reset the trip meter. I am going to try to source one before the end of the auction. I will need a $500 non-refundable deposit at the end of the auction and the rest to be paid in full within 5 days. If your planning on having the bike shipped I can be around for it, but you must make all arrangements, and the bike must be paid in full. The bike is sold as-is and anyone bidding is welcome to schedule a time to view the bike. Good luck bidding. On Sep-04-11 at 11:40:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a link where you can see more photos that are larger.
