For Sale: 1964 Mercury Comet. Custom painted Tricked out “One Of A Kind” Mercury Comet! Many modifications to this 1964 Mercury Comet known to many as “The Midnight Mistress.” She has been featured in several newspapers and many websites, both local and national. This Comet is in excellent condition! I will list as many enhancements that I can think of. Pictures look great but to see this Comet in person will really make you appreciate “The Midnight Mistress”. This Comet has a mild 302 with a Weiand 174 Power Charger that runs really strong with dual Flowmaster exhaust. This is matched to a TCI Street Fighter C-6 transmission with a TCI 2800 Stall Converter. To keep the motor cool I have installed a Griffin Aluminum Radiator and an Electric Fan. The Comet has a Vintage Air “A/C” installed with an electric fan strictly for the A/C Condenser, which blows really cold. Disc front brakes help the Comet stop in an instant. Custom AM/FM radio with CD player, 2 amplifiers, custom mid and high range speakers and 2 – 8 inch Bazooka Tubes that are painted to look exactly like NOS Bottles. I have fooled many people at car shows and cruises with these speakers! I have steel braided lines covering the speaker wires. You too will be fooled! The interior is customized as well. 2 Bucket seats from a 1992 Camaro covered in Black and Turquoise Vinyl, back seat matches front. The driver’s seat has a little tear on the seat located on the corner of the backrest closest to the door about a three-inch area. The fuel gauge reads 1/4 tank off. The Comet still wins car shows with the minor tear on the backrest. The inside door panels are covered in black vinyl with flames under the vinyl to give a subtle 3-D look. Custom made Dash insert with Auto Meter Gauges. The dash is a “one of a kind” for the Comet. The Steering Wheel with flames round out the Gorgeous and comfortable interior. The Body of the car is highly modified. Frenched Antenna, custom-made engine panels, custom-made grille, and original hood with a cowl hood scoop and “Hand Channeled” edges. The hood is reversed and made to open from the windshield forward. Shaved door handles with 2 remotes. The car is “debadged” so the lines of the car are straight and smooth. Custom Black paint with Turquoise True Fire, Custom airbrushed Diamond Plate on the rear side panels and on the trunk is the “Mistress” hidden in the flames. To repaint the car as you see it will run about $25,000. In a nutshell, this is a fun car to have and to drive! The Mistress gets attention wherever she goes.
