Vehicle Detail
I bought this car from a man who had it for 12 years or so. I have some documentation on previous ownership including reciepts from back to 1967. The original build sheet is in the glovebox. It is a 389 2 barrel with a 3 speed hyramatic trans. I put new plugs, wires, points, condenser and wires on it. I pulled the tank to clean it but it looks like new inside. I put a new fuel pump on it but the carb still needs an accelerater pump. I have the original fuel pump and fuel line going from pump to carb. The pump I put on had the fuel outlet in a diffent place so I whipped up a temporary line. All in all it runs good and drives good. I have put about 100 miles on it since I got it. Cosmetically it needs everything. There is some rust an the LH quarter, RH quarter, Trunk floor pans, RH door jamb and door, under the trunk lid, the front of the hood, both front fenders down low as usual. THE FLOOR PANS ARE SOLID. This car sat partially under a shed with the trunk section exposed to the elements, therefore the rust issues. Overall this is a good car. A good metal man can repair everything. All the lights and turn signals work, including the backup lights. The heater blower still works. Prime it black and throw some blankets over the seats and have an instant Rat Rod. The window regulators all seem good, but the driver's glass needs a little coaxing to go down and stay on track. someone sprayed rattle can primer on the front half of the car and didn't tape anything off so there is overspray on the moldings. I took a laquer thinner rag and cleaned some of it off and it comes off easy. I can email more pics if you need them, but I think I'm showing all the bad stuff in these. ALSO: The trunk dropoffs are pretty solid, The gas gauge works. OH, I FORGOT!! Power Steering and Power Brakes work GREAT!! No Leaks under the car. I also have the LH fender emblems and the other lower front fender molding. On Sep-04-11 at 17:17:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowered my reserve considerably. Bid with confidence! I am ready to sell this car. I have too many projects underway and this Pontiac needs a new home.
