I’m a big fan of these 3.2 liter E-Class cars (our daily driver is a ’99 E320 Sedan with 285K miles) and it isn’t too often you’ll come across the coupe version. Reluctantly, the long-term second owner of this Benz donated it to a local charity for tax purposes a short time ago before now being turned over for resale to you. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION Ever driven an E-class with the 3.2 liter six-cylinder engine? What a treat! Smooth is the word for sure. Comfort, styling, and versatility all in one gorgeous ride. Smooth handling in the curves or on the highway, too. Take a look at the photos and I’m sure you’ll agree with me what a great car this is. What you see is the result of a wash and vacuum only! With the exception of the driver’s seat base, the upholstery is clean and soft (no breakdown of the seat springs either). No dash cracks and great interior wood trim. The driver’s factory floor mat is still in place protecting the clean, original carpets. It’s obviously been allowed to spend a majority of its life garaged because the overall exterior condition is way above average. Climb over, under and throughout and I know you’ll come up smiling! Rust? Please, this Benz hates rust and you won’t find anything at all to worry about here. The majority if it’s life has been spent here in our famously snow-free climate of western Washington State. Yes, the Seattle area is famous for rain, but our winter roads are never salted. At most, we only have one or two days of snow every few years. Seriously, at the first flake everyone panics and stays home. Hop in and fire up the peppy, economical 3.2 liter in-line six engine and it starts immediately! The automatic transmission shifts strongly and as it should. Having personally owned more than twenty Benz models over the years, I’ve developed a great appreciation for the Mercedes style, mechanical reliability and overall driving experience. You’ll see this car is accident-free and has had only two owners. There is NO history of any title or lemon law issues, theft, flood damage or insurance salvage. Buy and drive this Mercedes with confidence! CONDITION: In total, this appears to be a clean, well-cared-for, smoke-free Mercedes. I take great pride in the vehicles we sell and feel that you should know as much about the car as possible. Accordingly here is a list of the good and also things needing attention: All the glass is in great shape. It runs and drives as it should – no overheating, no brake pull or alignment issues. The factory original dark grey metallic paint is in good overall condition and still holds quite a shine. I find NO fading or rust spots. The only flaws are a few scratches and a small dent here and there. Great exterior trim all around, too! As mentioned above, the front fenders, doors, rear quarters and floor pans are all solid, in fact the entire undercarriage is in great condition for a 16 year-old car! The factory alloy wheels are straight and true. They’re wrapped with good touring/all-weather radials still having at least 70% tread remaining. Take another good look at the interior photos. The upholstery is all-original with the pictures giving a very accurate view of its condition. The heater and A/C system work great. So does the power sunroof and there’s no evidence of any water leakage on the perfect headliner. The dash gauges and exterior lights are bright and true. The former owner was wise to install a nice in-dash Alpine CD stereo (I don’t know why, but it seems Daimler can’t ever install a decent radio from the factory in any of its cars and the first thing I usually do is upgrade them).
