1948 Crosley Flatside Pick Up This car has been in my family since the late 1950s. I first remember it in my fathers garage in the early 60s when I was going to Law School. It was taken to his ranch and stored. I brought it to my ranch from there. It has been stored inside all of those years and recently restored. It runs well with the traditional Crosley mechanical brakes. It has the original radio but not in working condition. The restoration included a complete take down of all old paint and a new paint job. There was no metal repair as it was in great shape. The pickup bed was coated black and the original wood in the door was refinished. All new wiring, upholstery, gas tank and a lot of little things. The fuel pump carb, generator and water pump were rebuilt. Motor did not need any work. New seals on rear end. New tail pipe and muffler like original. New moulding for windows. Door latches reworked asnd new tires. There is no rust on the car. It is a 1948 it was first sold in 1949. It is 63 years old. I have the original California black and yellow plates (2) on it but it is not registered. It has not been registered since 1962. Its serial number is 45671 which places it manufacture in 1948. The numbers for 1948 were 32000 through 61256. Deposit of US $1000.00 within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close.
