1969 Volkswagen Beetle I am the second owner, I have owned the car since 1980 and the car was always keep in a garage. Back in 1984 the car was last painted and the interior was redone. I used the car sparingly over the past 27 years, and I have not started it since 1997. I had plans to refurbush the beetle and started with the back left wheel. replaced the brakes, cylinder, lines and drum. I also changed the left rear fender . After starting I realize I can not complete this project due to arthritis in my hands and fingers. It is time to let her go to someone new. The beetle is in good shape, there is rust in the battery compartment, I have the sheet metal to replace it. There is also a little rust on one side rail, and in the front .The axel supports have rust. It's not perfect. Overall the car is not bad, very salvageable. As beetles go, she is a good project to complete. I have alot of parts to go with the car, original engine pieces. new rt. fender, extra front bumper, alot of rubber parts , original roof rack (not pictured.) Tow bar, Car Cover and more. The rear bumper is missing, I trashed it with plans on purchasing a new one. The reason the car is not running is: The gas is 14 yrs. old and needs to be drained, oil should me changed , and cylinders be coated with WD-40, I am not physically able to get this done. So the car will needto be trailered or tow dollyed. I have a tow bar, but if you use the tow bar you will need safety chains and someone to steer the car, I do not recomend pulling it without some one to steer.
