Vehicle Detail
I never intended on selling this before it was finished but my priorities have changed recently and I'm putting this up. Here's a brief rundown on what is done. 1949 tudor sedan. It is titled as a 1951 for some reason. I have the firewall plate that matches the title. The title is legit and clear, in my name. The guy I bought it from was making it look like a 51' decklid, hood, dash, trim. Chopped 5" in the front, 7" in the back. The chop is obviously not finished, but all the work as far as figuring out the proportions are done. I didn't just whack the top off. I studied books, videos, and had friends with experience chopping shoeboxes help me out. Basically the details of the chop, like the door tops, and window radius' need to be finished, as well as the welds in the inside of the car. Everyone that has seen this and knows what looks good all agree that the proportions on this chop are dead on. The chassis was completely stripped down, the rear sections is notched using 3/16" steel plates. It was all painted with POR. Suspension is all Jamco. The front has their ball joint conversion, and mustang 11" disc brakes. Has s-10 springs and new shocks. The rear has the jamco dropped springs, with dropped shackles, as well as their shocks. Everything is brand new. The engine is a 1965 ford 289 that has been bored .030 over so it technically a 306. It has all forged internals (crank, pistons, etc..). The bottom end was built to be bulletproof. It was going to be used in a racecar but they went a different route. It is brand new, never fired. Has late model 5.0l heads that have a valve job on them. Again everything in the heads are brand new. Roller rockers, edelbrock cam, edelbrock timing chain, new oil pump, you name it. Also has a edelbrock performer intake manifold, edelbrock performer carb (brand new) with electric choke, BBK shorty headers. The headers and intake manifold have been ceramic quoted silver. Has edelbrock finned valve covers also. The trans is a C4 automatic. Comes with a Gennie swan neck shifter. I have pretty much everything except for the driveshaft, exhaust, glass and other small things. Brand new mustang radiator, master cylinder/booster combo/prop. valve, all the brake lines have been done on the chassis, just need to be finished when the master cyl and booster is mounted on the firewall. New optima red top battery, Mallory unilite distributor and coil pack. Extra set of doors, a lot of trim, all the stock parts. The rear end is a 8" ford maverick. Everything has been replaced internally. New bearings, seals, new ring and pinion (gear is 3.55), also all new rear drum brake parts as well. Wheels have been powder coated gloss black, the tires are like new firestone whitewalls. There's probably a lot I'm forgetting since I have so much for this car. The bench seats are already covered with black and white vinyl. The dash has been powdercoated semi-gloss black. The dash chrome has been redone. With some body work and wiring this will be a very classy custom. Finished properly it will fetch $15,000+. Email me for more photos or info. There's a lot I'm sure I'm missing.
