Hello up for auction is my 2003 Toyota Corolla CE. My mom purchased this car from the dealer back in 2003 and she gave it to me as a gift in 2010. My car worked perfectly until last year I was driving my sister to school when I was rear ended by a lady. She provided insurance and I started a claim yet her insurance told me that she was no longer their customer, so basically her policy was expired and they would not pay to repair my car!!!!! I had liability insurance but no uninsured motorist coverage so basically I couldn't get my car fixed! My car has been sitting in the garage since last year since i don't have any money to fix it. I hate to see my car sitting in the garage collecting dust and I wish I had money to fix it but that is not an option for me do to financial hardship in my life. The car was hit on the rear left side. Basically the rear bumper and rear left light took the hit. The bumber is still attached but hanging by the left rear wheel. The actual trunk (Lid) is undamaged! The rear left light is clearly damaged and there are a few good sized dents in between the back passanger door and the point of impact as seen on the pictures. The car turns on cleanly on first try and drives, however the inside of the left rear wheelwell was pushed out by the impact and is rubbing against the left rear tire. I have been told by friends that the wheelwell can be hammered in as to clear the tire or even sawed off in order to keep it from rubbing against the tire. Also I assume that the bumber could be ripped off to keep from dangling. I am not an expert in cars but i have seen other cars far more damaged that were repaired. I have seen cars that were rear ended were the whole trunk and rear end were smashed in but this one received the impact on the left rear bumper and the damage was contained to the rear left side. This car has a manual transmission and has just over 156k original miles. The clutch was done just a couple of months before the accident and i purchased a new battery for it about 3 or 4 months ago since i went to start it up and the battery was dead i bought a new one in order to run the engine a little bit periodically.Besides the accident damage the car has normal wear throughout as it is a 2003 car the interior is not missing anything and everything is in working order, has A/C and CD Player as well. Since it has been sitting in the garage and I haven't washed it is is dust that you see on the pictures on the outside of the car.The title on this car is clear it is a normal pink slip (NOT salvaged, damaged, or rebuilt title) this past april it was time to renew the registration and i just registered it as non operable with the california DMV. Current Non operable registration is good till jan 23 2012. THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS.
