Vehicle Detail
Barn Find 1947 Ford Panel Truck one owner. Up for bid is a 1947 Ford Panel truck. This super solid panel truck was bought new in 1947 by a local gentleman who owned a greenhouse. The truck was used over the years as a delivery truck. The truck is powered by a flathead motor that is stuck at the moment. I am not a mechanic and am going to let the next guy pull it apart and see what is up with it. The truck was re-painted 25 plus years ago. The truck was kept inside for the majority of it's life and was recently plucked from a farm right across from the old greenhouse near Limerick, Pa. The truck is super solid as you can see from the pictures. There was a couple of small patches up in the front floorboard, a couple of bumps and bruises on the drivers side rear fender and just some basic love and TLC. It still has a 6 volt system and also has a three speed transmission. It is hard to say what the milage is, but The odometer shows 77,000 plus miles. There is a drivers side seat in place with an Indian blanket and there is no passengers side seat. The truck also retains the original wood floor and the wood slats that you could stack plants on . This is a super cool truck that would be great to restore, or cool to get running and drive it like it is. This panel truck has great patina and would also be great as an advertising piece for a business. Good luck and happy bidding. Clear title in hand.
