Vehicle Detail
Here is my 1963 T Bird convertible I am selling at no reserve. I am the third owner, I bought the car 3 years ago off an older gentleman who had owned it since 1984. He told me he had purchased it from a Georgia state senator who bought the car new. I have a copy of the title where he registered it in 84 with 58100 miles. He told me he only drove it in parades in his local town. The odometer is reading 59428 miles today. The drivetrain is all original with the 390FE and cruise o matic transmission. The engine runs great with no issues(drops quarter size oil on driveway) the transmission shifts and operates great with no issues(leaks a little too). There is a small exhaust leak at passenger manifold, not bad but can hear it spitting a little. Has 2 into 1 exhaust with single tail pipe. The interior is in excellent condition, I would say it has been redone at some point in time, the top looks new as well. The power top works great no issues with it. I rebuilt the front end a year ago with all new balljoints, all new bushings, shocks ect... has new tires as well. I have also put a new power steering pump on the car. The car runs and drives great, feels like it is on a cloud and you can drive and turn it with your pinky finger. The car has been painted once at some point in its life, which was not a very good job. It has some orange peel and scratches in it, still looks good though. There is a slight amount of rust in the quarter panels(no holes but evidence of rust. I have relacement panels for both sides that go with the car. I feel you can use the replacements and just patch the small areas. The areas are above the fender skirts and rear part of drivers side. The trunk is solid and all the floor pans are solid with the exception of drivers floor pan which has some rust thru. This car is really solid and drives great but does need some TLC in the areas I have mentioned. I have a few extra parts that go with the car(chrome around taillights, extra fender skirts, autolite 4100 carb. This car runs and drives great, put a paint job on it and have a very nice expensive Bird. If you have any questions please email me. I am sure I have forgot to mention something. Thank You
