This is a 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Clone. It has a 351 Cleveland 4v, automatic. This is a project car. The car runs, the engine is strong, but needs to be tuned up. There are no knocks or tapping sounds. I last drove the car two years ago and it has been sitting ever since. I can go out right now and it will start right up. The transmission works; it shifts, but the transmission will need rebuilding in the near future for long-term use. There are a few rusted places on the car. These spots are shown in the pictures. There is no rust on the frame or shock towers. The worst places are the driver side door pillar and the trunk lid. The interior of the vehicle is in pretty decent shape . It needs a dashpad and a headliner and the front driver's seat has a tear in it. This is a pretty car. It would not take a lot of money to make this an every day driver. I would not consider it road worthy at this time because it has been sitting for so long. Thank you for interest.
