Up for auction the "DAMAGED GOODS CUSTOMS" 1939 Ford Truckster !!! (see us on Facebook) Where to start on this one of a kind truck!?! It has been built for a little over three years now. I've taken it to many many car shows, and this truck always turns heads like no other vehicle I have ever built or owned!!! I have way to many personal and professional projects at this time to drive this one or show her off at the shows... The cab is 1939 Ford pickup along with the front sheet metal. The cab has one of our Diablo chops!! It is choped 6" in the back, 4" in the front, with a 8" lay back on the entire windshield. It makes for one of the meanest looking chops out there on a truck !!! The hood, hood-sides, and grill have been modified as well. All cuts, and welds are visible. The bed is from a 40's Chevrolet truck. It has been shortened and narrowed to 39" x 39". The frame is from a International Scout. it was completely stripped clean of all brackets, and unneeded bull. The frame was used backwards, and then pinched in the front 6". which gave it the perfect taper for the cab. The rear-end is from a 1973 Ford Mustang. It has been narrowed! how much i'm not sure. I bought it this way. The rear wheels are the fronts from a 1946 ford 1 1/2 ton truck. The tires are Brand new GOODYEAR 7.50 x 20. the whitewalls are Painted on these. Wheel adapters were water jet out of 1/2" steel to adapt the wheels to the larger bolt pattern. all rear brakes have very few miles on them.. The power brake unit is from speedway. it is a brand new floor mount unit. (SEE PIC) The front straight axle was from a 1946 ford coupe, with split bones. the front has scratch built quarter-elliptical's. It also has finned Aluminum drums in the front. The radiator is a brand new aftermarket 1965 mustang unit. The engine is a 403 Oldsmobile with an automatic trans. it Has Custom built headers using Harley Davidson pipes, and water jet header flanges... This trucks looks and sounds Bad*ss!!! Now for a couple things it will need... I had a rear wheel cylinder give out on the way to the "Sins of Steel" show last year.. It blew a chunk of the rear drum out and the all the brake hardware on that side.(see pic). this stuff is readily purchased at your local auto parts store. the steering box needs to be replaced... I'm am including a frame mounted Chevy box in the auction...also the front kingpins are worn out. they need to rebuilt or replaced! I am including a very tight axle in the auction as well! I just haven't had the time to do these repairs. I figured the next guy could that way he could get familiar with the truck!!! It may need some minor metal work and finish welding done on the body....or leave it the way it is. I like it this way!
