Up for sale is a 1983 Volkswagen GTI with Manual transmission. There is NO Reserve on the auction! I have owned this car for about 15 years. It was fun to drive with its good power to weight ratio. Handling was great. I have invested thousands into the care and upkeep of this car but wife says she wants it gone. My sacrafice is your gain. Happy wife, happy life. This car would be worth a lot more if I parted it out. I just can't do it in a week. She says it must go now. Here are the things that need fixed. The fuel tank has a hole and needs replaced, so I will include a used fuel tank. There is some rust under the car on the frame. Pictures of the underside are not coming out well, so I suggest you come see the car. You can either fix the rust on this car or use the parts from this car towards another car. The passenger side right rear tire will not rotate related to rust. Also the rear sway bar has rusted loose. I last drove the car about two months ago. The engine starts up. Engine power is good. The 5 speed transmission was replaced about 10 years ago with higher ratio gears than stock. It’s like having overdrive. The car was repainted about 8 years ago. The car’s body is starting to show rust spots. The front bumper had some dents, to it is covered by a VW’s Jetta’s plastic bumper and looks good, I had the front seats reupholstered about 10 years ago and are still in good shape. The rear seat is a close color match but not exact. The headliner was replaced. The carpet is not bad. Still has the snow flake GTI rims. The odometer was replaced so actual miles are unknown. I have a clean title. I tried to accurately describe this car. I suggest you come see the car in person. The car is sold as is. It will need to be moved on a trailer because the right rear wheel is frozen with rust. I would be willing to use my trailer to move the car to your location for a fee, $30 plus $1 per mile, up to 150 miles from my location.
