I am offering a straight, rust free (as in never had any), highly optioned Impala SS Convertible. It is the real deal, with 68,000 miles. There is a minor crease on the right, rear quarter panel, behind the wheel opening. This vehicle has been sitting in storage, the better part of the last twenty-five years. I bought this car a few years back as a restoration project. Other projects have taken priority over this one and that is why it's for sale. It currently does not run. It had a slight back-fire through the carb, so the problem is probably a bad or stuck intake valve. I pulled off the intake manifold a few years ago to start repair, but that's as far as I got. The intake, carb and valve covers are in the trunk. The brake system also has leaks. Options include: Factory A/C. Factory front disc brakes. Factory AM/FM stereo. Tilt wheel. Power steering & brakes. Power windows & seats. Remote outside mirror. 275hp 327 V/8. Engine is correct and original. Engine pad code is: TO322KL 462 heads. Turbo 400 transmission. 12 bolt rear. It had Cruise Control as the button in on the turn signal switch, but the components under the hood are missing. It does not have the factory gauge package or tach. The bright metal is very nice as is the general condition of the body and interior. Dash board, console, door panels and back seat are very nice. Driver's seat has some cracks. Paint has the usual old lacquer issues with crack and blistering and has been touched up here and there. Notice the poor match on the quarter panel paint. The entire car should be stripped in my opinion. I have the original owners manual, warranty book and Protect-O-Plate. I apologize for the lousey pictures. I welcome your questions and e-mails.
