1974 Triumph Trident

Here we have my nice Trident that is as near to original as you are going to find. My brother bought it when it was just a few years old and owned it for the next 30+ years. The last 25 of which were in clean dry storage when he stopped riding (young children,new wife, etc). He took good care of it , always planning to start riding again. He finally admited that he would not and it passed to me.I put it back in service, rode it to work a few times a month and stopped using it myself after a couple of years.It was ridden regularly up till about 6 months ago.Time to reluctantly let it go! It runs great and looks good! Back in the day it was upgraded to Mikunis and electronic ignition. The original Amal carbs are included if wanted. I believe some original manuals are around and I will find them for the buyer.Now for the negative. It drips a little oil like all british bikes. The paint has a little flaking underneath one tank badge( it has been touched up), along with the usual dings and rust specks.Very small dent in tank made by lower rise handlebars and switches at full lock.The bars have since been changed. The chrome looks good but is not perfect with a few small rust spots that may clean up. The tires have good tread but are old and should be replaced. The front brake disc is a little discolored like many Tridents I've seen. This is a 35+ year old bike in well preserved condition and is not showroom new. The numbers match and the engine has never been apart. A well maintained very original bike! payment of $500 deposit via paypal in 24 hours. Cash on pick up for remainder.
