Puratich of the quaint Puget Sound town of Gig Harbor, WA stopped by Osborne-McCann Cadillac in nearby Tacoma. Mrs. Puratich’s eye was on this gorgous, top-of-the-line Fleetwood Brougham and he drove it right off the showroom floor for her, spending $26,310. EVERY bit of service work done thereafter - including all oil & filter changes - over the next quarter century were performed by the same dealership and have been thoroughly documented in an inch-thick file of work orders and receipts that will pass to the next owner. We even have the original window sticker, dealer add-on sheet and Protection Plan forms for you. These folks were so particular about the car, it would sometimes be at Osborne-McCann twice in a week for even minor issues. The odometer now reads only 09,300 and, based on the records, is documented to represent just over 100,000 miles. Think about it, this Brougham has averaged less than 4,400 miles per year since new ! What a treat! Smooth is the word for sure. Smooth powerful acceleration. Smooth handling in the curves or on the highway. Comfort, styling, and versatility all in one gorgeous ride. For my money, a Fleetwood Brougham is the ultimate value for the overall driving experience that a classic Cadillac has to offer. Look over my photos and I’m sure you’ll agree what a find this is. What you’re viewing is the result of a wash and vacuum only! “Time capsule” is a perfect adjective to use when describing this car. I know you’ll admire it’s overall provenance. All the glass is good. The paint appears to be original and is still very presentable. No cracks or UV-induced “tiger claw” tears to the impeccable vinyl top (sorry, just a little bird poop showing there in the photos). Climb over, under and throughout - I know you’ll come up smiling! Rust? Please, this boulevard cruiser HATES body rust and you’ll be hard pressed to find anything to worry about here. Yes, the Puget Sound area is famous for rain, but our winter roads are rarely salted. We only have one or two days of light snow each year. Everyone panics and stays home. Inside you’ll find great original leather upholstery all the seats. NONE of the door panels – or the rest of the interior - has suffered sun damage. The carpets are clean and still protected by their original factory mats. I’m quite impressed with the condition of the dash gauges. They are as clear and bright as the day this rig left the Michigan plant 26 years ago! You’ve gotta love the factory-installed eight-track “Quadrasonic” sound system! We even have the original quadrasonic demo tape to pass along. The headliner is perfect. Even the Cartier dash clock still keeps accurate time! Mechanically the car seems very strong. Our paperwork says the heads were rebuilt under warranty about 75K miles ago. The Cadillac dealer regularly serviced the drivetain at 3 to 4 thousand mile intervals. Even after sitting in our warehouse for a few days at a time the car never fails to start right up at the first crank. Just pump the gas a few times, turn the key and it starts instantly, even when cold. The automatic four-speed transmission shifts great and the brakes feel just fine to me too. All four wheels are straight and the Firestone FT10c Touring Radials have at least 90% rubber remaining all around. I’ve spent two days cruising both freeways and city streets and can find no fault with the way this Fleetwood runs or drives out. I have no problem encouraging bidders to do what many of our previous buyers from as far away as Alaska, California, the east coast, Canada and even the Mexican Baja have done – fly in to Sea-Tac International just a few miles from us.
