1976 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible (Classic, VW Bug). Just in time for back to school! Here is a very nice Beetle convertible that I spent the last year restoring. She runs and drives fine as a Bug usually does. Brakes were worked on as well as some tune-up stuff. Also, I powerwashed the engine area and detailed it. The convertible top is brand new, as well as the foam padding and white vinyl headliner, and rear window rubber. BODY:Classic VW with new top, can also be driven without the top, as a ROADSTER. (see photos for both versions)I AM SELLING THE CAR WITH BOTH TOPS. I replaced the tires and added the VW chrome rims. The car was re-painted earlier this year in a Flame Red/Viper Red color. The Interior red is a shade darker. The underside of the hood was also redone in the red, the engine "hood" was re-don in a Black. The Chrome bumpers are in great shape with just some minor scuffs. The Chrome headlight rings and body trim are new. INTERIOR: The dash has a new cap on it, the carpet is new, seats are in relatively good shape although a little faded, but no major rips. (just a couple of small areas in the back/where it bends); All four chrome window handles are new, as are the interior door handle covers, SONY Detachable face CD player with 2 new red door speakers, windows roll up and down fine, and all the mechanisms were oiled. Steering was replaced with a smaller, sporty one which feels great when you are driving it, but no horn button. the back side panels were fabricated and covered in black vinyl. The trunk area was paintied in flat black, and gas tank in gloss black and looks new. It also has a new form fitting carpet from JC Whitney. The spare is from the old set of wheels, (Riviera Style) and I have the jack that came with the car as well. **JUST A NOTE** The complete floor was cleaned, wire brushed, vacuumed, and rubberized undercoated, as well as repaired as mentioned above. Lights work and wipers work as well. (I have the White sunvisors, but they are not pictured). FLAWS: This had the usual rust in the floor pans and I added some sheet metal and paneling to the rear floors and undercoating as well. there are still some perforations but it's good for now. Most of the weatherstripping around doors and trunk/engine area are stiff and should be replaced. Originally the engine was a Fuel Injected engine but change out to the current, carburated engine, by the previous owner. Rear seat is not hooking into the back latch for some reason, but does stay in place **NOTE** some of the paint color appears to be a yellow/orange color, but it is solid Red, it's just the sunlight. Comes with a Clear title, but still in the previous owner's name (but signed by them). The registration is from last year, so it owes some back fees at the DMV, (only if you are registering it in California). Overall a very cool ride and perfect for the Summer season. **NOTE** According to N.A.D.A Value Guide this VW is valued between $6,300 - $20,500 ********** PAYMENT TERMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: ********** I accept: C.O.D if you are local, m.o., cashier's check, personal check (allow to clear).
