This car has been a summer vehicle for two decades. Through the last quarter century it has been garaged stored. The Pony Interior includes wood grain appliqués around the 5 dial instrument bezel and on the glove box, embossed running Ponies and chrome trim on the seatbacks; special "Pistol Grip" door handles and working red and white door courtesy lights. The seat covers, carpet, headliner are all in very good condition. There are no cracks or warps in the dash pad. The instrument bezels are in good shape with full instrumentation, including oil pressure meter and amp meter. All the gauges, lights, wiper, horn, AM radio, etc. work. The 2+2 fold down rear seat works as it should. Window regulators, doors & locks, 2 + 2 fold down rear seat, and trunk lid all align as they should. The functional rear side louvered vents slide open and closed as designed. This car was serviced completely by a professional Ford mechanic in the summer of 2009. The shop went over this car installing all new hoses, new brake shoes, and the engine was tuned up. The transmission was flushed and resealed with new filter and gasket .The C-4 automatic transmission shifts flawlessly in all three gears. The engine starts with little effort and idles smoothly at ~ 600 RPM. The car goes down the road straight without pulling to the right or left on braking or driving. Drives and tracks perfectly straight with both hands off the wheel. We have been driving this car on streets, freeways and up 6000 foot mountains and it runs smoothly. This is an excellent, proud first year production turnkey Fastback, ready to enjoy, drive and show. 1965 Mustang Fastback - Pony Interior - C Code Automatic 51,XXX miles (never turned over in the 25 years I've owned the car and I suspect that it's original) Has been in our family since 1987. Garage stored and kept since 1985. This is a beautiful and super clean car. I have loved this car since the day I bought it from my father and really hate to part with it. Car has never been smoked or eaten in. I have truly taken great pride in this car - even the dashpad is exceptional. I have occasionally driven it to work on nice days and it's a great driver. Come take a look - you won't be disappointed. Located in Madison, WI.
