This is our 1961 CHEVY APACHE PICKUP, though not entirely perfect the fairly recent cosmetic restoration makes this truck well above just a project vehicle as it runs well and looks great! This is a very clean, straight and solid desert truck with no rust or rot. This truck was traded to me after the owner put a lot of time and money into it, all the hard work is done and it doesn't need much to make it a nice daily driver or weekend cruiser for someone. This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, the body of this Apache is complete and very straight. There are no dent, rot or rust repairs needed. Front windshield has a "bb" chip, all other glass is clean, clear and in good shape. Cab floor and bed area has been Rhino-Lined. The paint is well above just "driver" quality but not "show" quality, it looks really nice and shiny but upon close inspection I see 2 chips on hood (see pic) and dirt specks here and there in the paint. This Apache rides on clean Centerline wheels, tire tread is about 40% all around. These trucks don't have much as far as interior goes- the drivers seat is faded and has lumpiness when I sit on it, so it could use new seat upholstery. Inside the cab, dash and door panels look nice and have also been repainted black with the trim in red. Everything works inside except for the speedometer, wipers and there is no radio. Mechanically, I'm told this is the original 283 engine, it runs nice and has plenty of power. The only things mechanically that I don't like is you have to shift the 3 speed auto transmission by hand starting at low and moving thru the range to "D", also the top radiator tank has a slight leak and will need repaired before any long drives are made. I have in hand the clean and clear California title/ownership certificate on this Chevy. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base.
