Vehicle Detail

2003 Turin PSV (Personal Security Vehicle) Unparalleled performance and security VIN: ZBWVF50F4KP000329 18,350 Original Miles 6.0L OHV V8 with Magnuson Super Charger GM Hydramatic 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission. The Laforza SUV made its American debut as one of the most durable SUVs ever built. As a result of its integral strength, the Laforza was an ideal candidate for a personal security application. This 2003 Turin PSV was to mark the debut of the exclusive Personal Security Vehicle line and was one of the last vehicles built by the Laforza Automobile Company (Escondido, CA). The Turin PSV line was documented to have a $100K+ price tag when they hit the market (see http://www.laforzafissore4x4.bravehost.com/Turin-2.gif for a copy of the original Turin PSV brochure). In addition to its unique design, this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive history. Showcased at the prestigious Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California, this Laforza Turin PSV was used to promote the new armored version PSV to discriminating buyers who demand a vehicle with unparalleled performance and security. Simply put, this Laforza Turin PSV is built, rides, and performs unlike any other Laforza SUV ever made. You’ll truly experience a night and day difference when driving this Laforza Turin PSV as compared to other SUVs. Chassis: The box-ladder frame makes this PSV very sturdy in construction. Independent rear air-adjustable suspension (no more leaf springs) provides a very luxurious ride without compromising the ability to tow heavy loads. The air suspension system has been gone through to ensure proper operation. The entire rear suspension has been custom designed and engineered for this vehicle. The rigid front suspension also integrates a complementing pair of adjustable air shocks to customize the level of this PSV as needed. This Laforza Turin PSV has a Brembo® 4-wheel disc braking system, providing optimal braking power and control. Servicing the brake pads is convenient as obtaining over-the-counter parts from most quality auto supply outlets. The chassis and undercarriage are very clean with no signs of rust or damage. This vehicle has been, and currently is in dry storage since new. Drivetrain: With an all-American performance drivetrain, this Laforza Turin PSV provides uncompromised power, reliability, and serviceability. The engine is a GM 6.0L V8 coupled with a Magnuson supercharger (similar to the Chevy Silverado SS). Everyday driving is very enjoyable and when power is needed, this Laforza Turin PSV delivers with no hesitation whatsoever. This vehicle has a wealth of unbridled power even with 4-wheel drive engaged. The GM Hydramatic 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission shifts effortlessly and handles well during every-day driving conditions or when maximum evasive situations are presented. With a selectable 2-wheel, 4-wheel (Low), or 4-wheel (High) transfer case, driving modes can be changed on the fly to accommodate any weather-related condition. Only a few GM-based Laforzas SUVs were ever produced. These models rarely come up for sale and retain their value more than any other Laforza SUV. This is the only GM-model Laforza that has this rare body design, advanced suspension configuration, and integrated personal security features. The oil and filter were recently changed (synthetic always used) and factory-installed K&N air filter cleaned. Interior: The beautiful all-leather interior is tastefully designed with a coordinating rich stone gray and Mediterranean blue color pallet, complimented with a matching full suede headliner. The suede-covered sliding sunroof shade works well but does need a little encouragement to slide back at times. The front seats have integrated armrests that fold up into the contour of the seat back. A heated seating package has been pre-wired into each front seat for optimal comfort and future upgrade. Integrated cup holders conveniently fold away into both the driver- and passenger-side doors. The carpet is like new showing almost no wear whatsoever. The burled wood appointments complement the aesthetics of the interior to provide a very rich look and feel. There are minor cracks in the finish of the center console wood section. The visual texture of the wood does a good job of concealing these imperfections, but they are present nonetheless. Sound deadening material can be found covering the floor under the carpet. The interior of this 2003 Laforza Turin PSV is a one-of-a-kind design, no other Laforza SUV has a similar presentation. Electrical: The entire electrical system of this Laforza Turin PSV works extremely well. Recently, most of the exterior lighting has been thoroughly cleaned and adjusted when needed to ensure optimal performance. Complete with genuine Hella® and PIAA® driving lights this Laforza Turin PSV lights up the road to ensure driving safety. Grounding points in many circuits have been cleaned and adjusted when needed. All power windows operate very well with fluid motion in both upward and downward movement. Remote keyless entry works well. Power seats function very well including the power lumbar (new feature on this model). Exterior: The 18-gauge steel body provides strength and durability not found in many SUVs on the market today. This SUV also has A.C.E. laminated (bullet-proof) glass for added safety and security. The exterior is very clean with no visible signs of rust or dents. There are a few chips still present in the paint which as noticable upon close inspection. The style of this body is very unique and is only one of two known vehicles with this design (the other vehicle having similar features was never completed). Custom 18” billet-aluminum wheels wrapped with all-season Bridgestone Dueler tires provide the finishing touch to the overall appearance of this vehicle. Recently the entire body was buffed, paint smoothed with clay-brick process, and three coats of premium wax applied by hand to seal the finish. The results are simply stunning. Amenities: A power e-brake system makes applying the parking brake effective and easy. The well-reviewed Alpine IVA-D900 entertainment system (complete with navigational interface) is a nice feature that allows for future expandability. This system was recently re-certified by Alpine Electronics and works like new. A rear-view color CCD camera system integrated into the rear of the vehicle provides a wide-angle image viewable on the 7” high-resolution monitor located in the dash. The A/C system was recently serviced. The system holds a charge nicely and produces very cold air in the cabin.
