1978 Chevy Corvette. CLASSIC C3 BODY STYLE!! 1978 Chevy Corvette, Original Sky Blue color. 25TH Anniversary Edition!! Classic "Stingray" body style. Removable T-Tops model. Here is a sweet example of this American Muscle Car. Drives well with good power and speed. New shocks all the way around for a smoother ride and a newer battery as well. Does not overheat, original engine and transmission. Engine compartment was Power washed and detailed. All brakes were done a few years ago, fresh oil change and tune-up. Comes with the original "PINK SLIP" TITLE (see pic) BODY: Clean body with recent non-metallic original Corvette color code:26-light blue paint. Looks absolutely superb. Original factory Aluminum wheels which have been polished and have 4 new Corvette center caps. Tires are: DUNLOP GT QUALIFIERS RADIAL; Size: P225/70-R15 (all four). Comes with the original Blue/Yellow California plates with some chrome frames. All the emblems were re-enameled and look almost new. Rear lights/lenses were re-cleared. No chips or cracks in any of the glass. Basically a NO RUST CAR, except for one area (see below) INTERIOR: The original Blue carpet is present and was re-dyed, The Blue floor mats are new and have the "Corvette" logo. The driver's seat was just re-upholstered in matching color heavy vinyl. Speedometer and odometer works (104,000 miles), blower fan works but AC not coming on,All lights come on, Actuator tanks have new rubber boots, and driver side small vacuum actuator is also new. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel work fine. Brakes work well . Comes with the original 8-TRACK PLAYER. Not really working it's making a sound as if it's grounded badly, so the unit might be bad itself. I have a BILLY JOEL 8-Track that goes with it. Both window motors have new gears. FLAWS: Passenger seat has two seam rips on the back rest and the back covering does have a side piece missing and a long crack on the top of it; the leather shift boot has a rip in it, the top of the Dash is free of cracks, but on the front edge (where it meets the blue part) it's peeling away; the storage compartment door trims are cracked in several areas (usual) and there two small pieces missing. But they function properly; the drive's window does not go up all the way (about an inch shy of the top) , sounds like the gear is skipping, but can be pulled up the rest of the way. There are still some minor flaws that I found in the paint/body work mostly around the back, but you have to be really close to see them; the carpet is original and for the most part intact, there there are some ripped areas that have been glued in place (mostly on the driver's and pas. floor area), The new Corvette floor mats do cover them nicely however. This car is pretty much rust free, however, I did find some rust on the bottom of the drivers door, where the window motor sits. Door panels have some cracks and driver's side top corner is missing. The edge of the plastic of where the Tachometer is, is cracked. the rear defogger switch is not coming on, as of now the signal lights are not working, but high beam does, I will investigate to see if I can have it fixed by auction's end. DMV FEES have been paid and are up to date, just needs a smog certificate to complete California Registration. If out of state or country, this does not apply to you. Car has a clean title and is signed by the previous owner, (not in my name) please check with your local DMV if this is acceptable to them, (CA and International sales not a problem). tranny has a small leak. This one came from the second owner who bought it in pristine condition back in 1984. The car then passed to his girlfriend's name who's had it for the past couple of years. This Corvette will continue to hold it's value and increase in value as the economy gets better, so you are buying an investment. Especially the 25th Anniversary Edition which is sought after. I drive a Beautiful 77 Vette, and have owned several over the years, so I love these cars, and love bringing them back to life.
