Vehicle Detail

This listing is for my 1994 Toyota Tercel. While it's nothing special, it is a very sturdy, reliable and a great commuter car. It's small, quick, and very fuel economic. Originally it got 40 mpg highway/36 mpg city, but now gets 36 mpg highway/32 mpg city. The car is 4 spd manual transmission; may take a little getting used to, but proves to be easier to commute with than a 5 spd. The car has a completely clean record, no accidents whatsoever. There a couple of scratches in random places, mostly do to the elements and environment around it while it sat for a few years. The engine runs reliably. However, the current battery is dead, and would probably require a new one; though that is very easy and cheap to replace. It would also be a good idea to get new tires, as the ones on it were only replaced a few months before it became disused. While they appear to be in good shape and do not have much wear, they did sit for a long time. The exterior has no rust, and is in great condition. The interior is great too, save for a small rip on the drivers seat. The radio in the vehicle is the standard Toyota AM/FM radio, but is easily to upgrade; Toyota even put a reserved expansion slot under it. The original antenna is actually bolted onto the frame, so when extended, the radio receives great reception of signal. The speakers have been upgraded from the original 2inch diameter speakers to 5 inch diameter Delco speakers, because the original speakers stopped working. The car did not come with rear speakers, and I had intended to install them, but never got around to starting that project. But in good faith, I would be willing to throw in the intended Delco oval speakers as well. The Tercel has a driver airbag, full 3 point seatbelts in the front, two in the back. It does not have A/C, but does have a well functioning heater and fan. For a small car, the Tercel also does possess a considerable amount of trunkspace. The original emergency jack, tire iron, and spare are still in the trunk as well. The original sport rugs are included, with two extra. The car is a metallic blue color. I am selling this car because nobody drives it. I was originally to be the driver, but ended up going to college in Chicago, where I've learned having a vehicle as a student is impractical. Honestly, I'd rather it not collect dust and dirt on the side of my parent's house, and sell it to someone where it would actually get use in one way or another. Overall it is a very and reliable car, great for commuting, a budget driver, or simply something to learn manual transmission on (the Tercel is very good at teaching it's driver how to drive manual transmission). While it's not the best looking or newest car, it's a great solution to today's rising gas prices, and it's very reliable if used and taken care of.On Aug-01-11 at 21:45:43 PDT, seller added the following information: This listing is for my 1994 Toyota Tercel.
