This car is a project I started in early 2009. I purchased this car to completely restore it but yet maintain the stock appearance. The engine, transmission, suspension and paint are new. There are less than 12,000 miles on the car since the new build was completed. This car is essentially a new 2003 Cobra that is making more power and driving better than the original. This is NOT a race car. It is a daily driver that gets 15-16 mpg. All of the creature comforts work: Air conditioning, heat, power windows/locks, radio, CD player. It is a very dependable car for trips, commuting or just fun! Paint: Completely new paint and any necessary body work done by King's Classics, Indianapolis, IN. Please note that we painted the plastic at the base of the windshield and the plastic below the rear bumper. It looks awesome! The plastic hood vents were replaced with Fore Precision billet, black powder coated vents. The headlights and fog lights are new OEM Shortblock: Modular Mustang Racing, serial # 00408. The block is a new Ford Racing Boss 302 ci iron block that is stroked to a 5.3 liter or 324 ci. The block is the MMR Stroker 1150 as it is rated to 1150 horsepower for durability. Specifics-- Coated Manley Pistons, Manley Pro Series billet rods, MMR race oil pump, 4340 forged crankshaft with micro polished journals, Cometic big bore head gaskets, ARP head studs(156-4101), Balanced and Blueprinted, Compression 9.1 to 1, Bore size 3.700, Piston Weight 482 grams, Rod Weight 609 grams Heads: The heads were ported and polished by Mike Duke Racing, Indianapolis, IN.. He also replaced the valves, springs and retainers. The cams are Comp Stage 2 and the grind # is XE266BH-116. Weapon X COPS, NGK TR6 spark plugs, New 60 lb injectors. Miscellaneous engine: Meziere Electric Water pump # WP346S, New OEM alternator, JLT Carbon Fiber complete ram air kit, SCT Big Air MAF # BA2600, Kenne Bell 40 amp Boost A Pump, Accufab single blade throttle body and plenum, Fore Precision high flow fuel rails, Ford Blue valve covers, M-6582-A54 Supercharger: Stock with Stage 5 porting and complete rebuild as necessary by Stiegmeir (the front drive was rebuilt), Canton Supercharger Intercooler tank, AFCO Pro Series heat exchanger Suspension: MMR K Member, tubular A arms and remote mount oil filter; Maximum Motorsports rear coil over kit, Bilstein Heavy duty shocks; MMR Front coil over kit, Tokico 5 way adjustable struts: Steeda 4 bolt caster camber kit, bumpsteer kit and special edition red rear brake calipers. Fore Precision Billet differential girdle. Exhaust: American Racing long tube headers, 1.75" primaries with non-cat X pipe, Complete Bassani exhaust from the X pipe to the tips. Transmission: New Liberty Gears Tremec T-56. Thermal stabilization, cyrogenically processed, shot peened, Bronze forks and interlock, 2.66 first gear, .80 fifth gear and .63 sixth gear. 26 spline input, 30 spline slip yoke. MGW short throw shifter. CenterForce DFX clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. Adjustable clutch cable and quadrant, Motive AX 3.73 gear Interior: Front Seats--Corbeau LG1 Reclining Seats, Black/Grey Microsuede. (The seats are less than 6 months old) The shifter knob is the MGW Cobra edition and the lighter has been replaced with a Cobra non lighter button Tires: Hankook Ventus V4ES, 275/40Z/R17/98W. They have less than 500 miles. The wheels are Steeda Chrome. The long block was assembled by John Tymensky at Modular Performance, Wixom, MI. The suspension work was done by Andy Smith at ProTree Race Cars, Markleville, IN and the remaining assembly, build and tuning was done by Brenspeed, North Webster, IN. Brent White at Brenspeed tuned the car conservatively for 93 octane. Timing is 21 degrees and the car made 513 rear wheel horsepower and 487 rear wheel torque on the Brenspeed dyno. This was completed on 6/14/2010 The car has never been raced and is in as new condition. There are some rock nicks in the paint. There is a small crack in the spoiler and a small scratch on the rear deck lid. Never work on your garage door with a newly painted car in the garage!! The accident mentioned in the report was a supermarket parking lot accident. There was a small dent at the base of the passenger door. It was repaired when I had the car painted. The car is near perfect I have an extensive file containing receipts and documentation of the work done and major parts purchased On Aug-02-11 at 12:08:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Anyone who wants to track road race a car, I investigated that with this car. After a lengthy discussion with Jason at Maximum Motorsports. His suggestions were: Subframe connectors, Strut Tower brace, Rear Grip package, Stainless steel brake hoses and Hawk brake pads. This will run around $1900. After these additions you will have a car that is faster than most track cars with exceptional handling. Compare buying this car and making those changes to buying a Porsche and you are 1,000's of dollars ahead with a very competitive weekend warrior for the track. If you are not aware, this car was built for track road racing in the heritage of the Cobra R. Independent rear suspension makes for exceptional cornering. I have made it better with the suspension upgrades. The seats I added are set up for 5 point or six point safety harnesses
